Sony's much awaited FPS definitely has the best single-player campaign from anything that's been out in the last year or so. But that's not saying much.
As PlayStation celebrates its 30th anniversary, let's explore the best PlayStation games Sony has to offer.
There's too many games to choose from
No Metal geat solid 1,2,3,4?
No Resident evil?
No Silent hill?
No Midnight club 3?
No NfS Underground 2?
No Final Fantasy?
No Burnout 3?
No Dragon quest 8?
No Days gone?
No Ace combat?
No Tekken/Soul calibur?......
just from the top of my head
PS1 era was full of great RPGs, PS2 was racing generation i would pick top 200 and even that would be just a fraction.
The Amsterdam-based studio reflects on its humble beginnings, beloved franchises, and growth through the years.
Up there with the top tier in the industry. Love Guerrilla Games - Horizon Burning Shores is simply STUNNING.
32.7M sales in the Horizon franchise! With 8.4M coming from Forbidden West alone! Truly a hugely successful game and franchise as a whole. Looking forward to Horizon III
Yooo, when I first saw that Killzone 1 footage at E3, my friends my brothers and I were like, Holy shit! When it came out, it didn't look exactly like it, but we sunk so many hours into 1 & 2.
I even liked Killzone: SF, it was a spectacle to look at, and even today it looks good. I hope they make a new one. Can you imagine how that will look, and they can get some modern FPS pointers from Bungie.
Such a wonderful studio. They deserve all their success.
The Decima Engine is absolute 🔥 I'm just mad they have abandoned Killzone.
DSOGaming writes: "While Sony does not plan to release Killzone 3 on the PC, Yahfz shared a video that gives us a glimpse at what such a PC version could look like."
PC almost always ends up the best place to play games, even if it takes a while.
What would you rather play decades down the line? A game at a fixed resolution and frame, considering you have a working disc, and the hardware?
Or run it on an emulator that can update the experience all around, and let you use whatever control input you prefer?
If you insist on the former, it's really only for the sake of nostalgia.
The RPCS3 devs are doing great work. And Kami works nicely with it too it seems.
Very neat.
Bashing the review even though they sort of praise Killzone 3 for actually putting a good story together when almost all shooters don't give a rat's ass what the SP offers.
"Pros:
Never gets boring
Decent story build up
Better controls
Fantastic set-pieces
Cons:
Lame Helghast villains
Lamer ending
Ends abruptly
Aliasing issues
The Bottom Line
A rollicking ride through and through that could have done with a little more closure"
Story ends on a cliff hanger? Like every game series that isn't over yet.
Lame helghast villians? lol
This is one of the worst reviews of KZ3 since Edge's Con of "relying on the brutal impact of shooting at it's core" was pulled out of their ass. It's as if their was nothing for them to find at fault so they just made things up. I will sure as hell be getting this day one.
I want to know why it is so important all of a sudden for a FPS to have some sort of epic story that on the scale of the friggin Lord of the Rings.
KZ3 may not have a perfect story but it has awesome pacing, gamplay, graphics, sounds, 3D, Multiplayer, and it's story is still more focused on than any other shooter in the last few years, but they seem to nitpick it. I hate game journalism. It's beyond dead.
@EDIT: This is based on what the review basically said. I haven't played Crysis 2 yet.
Practically every other review has acknowledge Stahl as one of the best villains in gaming, and his rivalry with Orlock the most interesting part of the story.
I don't see how this review can post the exact opposite.
8 out of ten is still a great score!
Props to them for only reviewing the single player game, and waiting until "real world" tests for multiplayer.
Shame the multiplayer is nothing but cloak campers with jammer and people hiding in the same room the whole game hard aiming down a corridor waiting for the next easy kill to come by.
