Blade Kitten for PS3: Artificial Intelligence, Physics in a 2D World

Posted by Chris Fowler: Working on the PlayStation 3 has been wonderful. As this was my first project on the PS3, I was apprehensive at first about the new technology and how to use it as best we could. But now, I can honestly say I am a fan of the PS3.

I think more and more small devs. are starting to see PSN as a viable avenue to sell their games. XBL may sell a bit more, but PSN is catching up very quickly. And there were actually a few PSN games that sold better than the XBLA versions.

like?....not trolling or trying to say you're wrong just interested to learn what those titles were.

Anywho this game looks good.

I can't remember what they were, but someone posted it the other day. I know that sounds like I'm pulling it out of my ass, but I swear someone was comparing sales the other day of a few games and a couple actually sold a little bit better on PSN than XBL. Not lying or trolling either.

Blaze, Rocketknight sold better on PSN. Tecmo Bowl did too, actually. Not to mention it came 2 months later. I think, by and large, PSN games do outsell the xbl counter parts due to their not being as much of an influx of games to weed through. It gives the consumer more of a chance to actually play them and know what they are.

How misdirected the PSN is at times. I'm also pretty sure Trine outsold the xbl counter part too.

Lol. Didnt they announce this for the 360 as well? If so i dont think he will have anything bad to say about it.

Sounds interesting, developers need to go back to some old school styles of gameplay like 3D dot heroes did and it was a great game. 2D can be very cool if they implement some of the current tech along with it.

Blade Kitten Episode 2 Comes to Steam in March

Andrew writes:

"Years ago I had the chance to interview Steve Stamatiadis the creative director at Krome Studios and since then I've been good friends with him. You may know this company since they created Blade Kitten, Full House Poker, Game Room and much more. Well just a short time ago glancing at my Facebook feed I noticed the Blade Kitten page posting about Blade Kitten Episode 2, which has been missing for quite sometime. When I say missing I mean in limbo for quite a few years since it wasn't able to see the light of day until now."

Games, governments, and guarantees: Where does public funding fit in the industry?

38 Studios went bankrupt and Rockstar moved from Vancouver to Toronto. Where does the government budget sit in our industry, and how can we improve its use?
