In the latest Mass Effect blog update Casey Hudson, Project Director of BioWare talks about how difficult their situation was at E3, because they wanted to show a deeper look on the game without spoiling it:
"We've had a lot of great feedback from this year's E3 demo, but it was a long and treacherous road to get there. As E3 approached this year, we realized that we had a problem. We've talked about how "Mass Effect" puts you in control of emotionally-charged decisions that have a huge impact on the game world and the way you experience the story. But we realized that it was time to show a deeper look at what we meant by that. However, all of those situations in the game are, by definition, major spoilers. How would we show these amazing moments without giving away something that players would want to discover on their own?"
Thanks to their innovative approach to gaming, RPGs like Dark Souls, Final Fantasy VII, and Dragon Quest left a significant impact on the genre.

If you get your readiness level high enough in Mass Effect 3, *spoilers* you can see Shepard taking in a breath of air under some rubble. It would depend on whichever ending is canon.

Yeah I saw that at the end of my play through as well. I think they will bring Shepard back….. or at least a mutant version turned villain. Lol

I think Mass Effect is gonna WOW us all. The game is just a great all around made game. I still have yet to see any flaws or drawbacks in the game. Even talking in the game looks interesting and fun.
Name how many games that can boast that one.
can I please play this game already? The anticipation is killing me. Thank goodness there's Bioshock and Halo 3 to tide me over.
I'm so hyped about this game. Ehhmmm, i mean I like what I see and I'll be buying^^
Everytime they release new screenshots they just look better and better. The lighting is much improved as is the facial textures.
Can't wait to play it.
