Namco And Playstation Move Bring Life Back Into Light Gun Games

It worked by triggering your tv to send a signal light back to the gun with information on the location you just targeted. It was simple, affordable tech that allowed us to enjoy games like Duck Hunt and Virtua Cop like we did in the arcades. With the advent of the LCD tv, all light gun technology was obsolesced. All of my games for PS1, PS2, Sega Saturn and Sega Dreamcast that used this technology would no longer work. Namco had to develop a special version of the tech to work with LCD’s and used this in the Guncon 3 with Time Crisis 4."

you know what im not big on motion sensing games... but I do think the light gun games are fun... and with these controllers and the attachments they make I am excited to see what game they might make.... maybe take some of those Resident Evil light gun games from the Wii over.

I like light gun games and I use an attachment that makes the wiimote look like a 45. Really adds to the fun of playing HoD games.

Surprised Namco didnt come out with any of their gun games on the wii but no matter. Sikbeta said it best. If they make a compilation for use with the move, I am all over that.

I would definitely pick up House of the Dead OVERKILL in HD!!!!

As long as the keep the sweet grindhouse vibe, and either make it a PSN game or only $20. It is only like 2 hours long, but super fun.

I am really wanting a good 3D 60frames rail shooter, with al kinds of crap flying out of the screen and tons of explosions.

Also, I wonder if we will get Resident Evil Chronicles series or Archives on PS3 now.

Crysis yes, but point blank is more than arcade, it one of the best competitive gameplay ever (and was really accurate with namco gun, unlike sega gun)

Seems the MOVE may get a little expensive with some of the gadgets you'll buy to make some of the games enjoyable. But, you wont need them either, just for more fun I guess.

I'm not a motion player so its all terrible in the end. The last light gun game I played was House of the Dead on the Dreamcast.

Yeah its called a Will, it's been around for a few years now. There are hundreds and hundreds of games available for it. Some are even excellent. You should try it.

I know the new Time Crisis games will use gun-con3 from Time Crisis4 as well as MOVE. I want more games for gun-con though. I got it with Time Crisis4 and been waiting for more games to use it. I hope developers doing these type of games in the future have an option to use gun-con3 as well as MOVE.

The real light-gun freaks moved to wii. You can use them with the wii sensor even with an LCD tv. There's a renaissance of light gun games on that system that you apparently missed. Sin and Punishment 2 just came out a couple weeks ago.

time crisis, i am looking forwards to, having a light gun was a real inconvenience as you always had wires running everywhere, and with ps move the only wire you have to worry about is the one connecting the ps eye and it looks so much tidier, light gun rail games are good on wii, so I can't wait to do it with the move
