I haven't read the article yet, but I've seen or read articles a few years back. "Journalist" were witnessing it with their own eyes. I just can't remember if it was the 360 or PS3. The other things I've read about it slips my memory so I won't comment on what I "think" I've read.

SSHD is not 1080p at 60hz...its close though, its like 1280 x 1080 or 960 iirc or something native, and scales well...its well north of 720p, but not full 1080p native...

Wipeout HD and especially Fury, is the only 1080p game i've ever found all that impressive...it truly is one of the best looking games of this generation...its mostly impressive because it has polygon counts and LOD that is similar to 'normal' full releases...but at 1080p/60fps...

other than that 1080p/60fps is reserved for simple arcade games mostly...and even then it can still be a tall order for either console with such little overall memory...

Is 1080p at 60fps on ps3 and that was a launch title. More games could easily be 1080p at 60 fps but it is obviously just not worth the trade off.

And gt5 is up their almost at 1080p at 60fps and it looks amazing. Might even be 1080p when the game releases.

I bought SSHD when I learned game got a huge bump in visuals as a side result of the 3D implementation.

Game runs at crisp 1920x1080 with a silky smooth framerate of 60frames per second.

OT: Wardevil Forever. I hate announcement about announcements.

the retail release of SSHD and its multiplayer expansion were not rendered at native 1080p...

the 3D version of the game has a newly optimised engine that will boost 2D performance as well...that is what the article is about...the 'new' SSHD will run at native 1080p/60hz in 2D...or 720p/120hz for 3D...but that hasn't released yet...thats all i was saying...

EDIT: oh nm, that update released already?...I thought that was not coming till fall...I definitely need to get it then, i love that game...I just meant it wasn't full 1080p native when I bought it back in 2008...

Unfortunately some of us remember the last time a reveal was promised. All the reveal was, was a small article written by a magazine. Can't even remember who wrote the article.

Pretty interesting article, but the game is taking it's time. The article said it might be multiplatform now. To be fair the article said the team was small, so that's why it has taken so long apparently.

They have a publisher on board now (Ignition Ent.), but I wonder what this new direction they are talking about is. Not too excited about this, but maybe they will surprise us:

How are they even still in operation? Had I been a share holder of pulled out by now, unless they're as good at feeding them rubbish as they are us.

When the finally do (if ever) show it, it better be damn impressive, the old tech demos were good, but nothing more than standard now.

Oh and the promise of 1080 @ 60 fps sounds good on paper but it's how much on screen content they can handle while mantaining that, I don't want a high res super smooth version of Frogger.

- Digi-Guys are owned by Ignition Entertainment, as long as Ignition as a whole is making money I don't think their investors will have a problem, I guess.

- 1080 @ 60fps is possible for this game on both consoles, as they demoed some of the tech on the original xbox and the demo could do (SOME) things that most games can't do now on the PS3/360... not the fault of the consoles however, just the fact that engines aren't as advanced as this one I gather:

Granted, it was on rails as the article said, but considering the engine's demo was on the old xbox it really does speak for the quality of the engine... the quality of the game itself however has yet to be determined.

- and that's the thing: they never promised how much onscreen content they would have, so no one can hold them to anything else but the 1080p and 60fps, so as long as they do that, they really can't be faulted because they never really boasted much else that I know of.

so it wasnt that they "couldnt" do it, and if they "couldnt" do it then it wasnt ps3s fault, also digi guys knows a handful more than the other ps3 developers since they are high end cg movie makers so ps3s hardware is right down their alley not to mention theyve been working on ps3 since like 2004 when it was still a prototype

Ima get a ton of disagrees but god of war is not the best looking game... when I got the game I was disappointed. I was expecting a game to blow me away. especially with all the talk on how it was a painting. but it didn't.. U2 is better in almost every aspect except scale.
I thought gow3 had way to many jaggies and it only looked better than U2 in the closeups and scale.

(*soo I would edit that to say if naughty dog or guerrilla games couldn't do it....)

Lair was 1080p/60fps, but it was unstable. Lair is in many ways unmatched on consoles even though it wasn't 100% polished.

I read an article about this game just when the economy tanked late 2009.
These guys were keeping their office closed to investors promising a reveal to them. Don't know if that ever happened.
I'd think that some gaming news site would have had info if it had.

I'm 100% certain that this game is siphoning cash from investors and the UK subsidiary grants for keeping UK jobs.
This game will never see the light of day. The promises these guys have made would make unch2 & KZ2 look like child's play!
If Sony can get GOW3 out on a $44 million budget...can you really believe these fools? I'm certain they don't have a $40+million budget.

At some point charges will be laid against Ignition for failure to deliver.

This could mean the next generation of gaming engines for the PS3. Just like KZ2, the technology takes a while to smooth out, but it benefits every studio working on the PS3. Makes sense to me.
