The official websites for WarDevil are completely blank, is it game over for the long-awaited title?
Sucks if true, it looked pretty good
Yea, but then it became multiplat (I think) and lost all attention. With low profile games like this, it's better to leave them exclusive. That way they get more attention and they look far better (at least on PS3).
it looks like it was the one big vapoware
Just last week I was just pondering what happened to this game. I hoped for some news, but this wasn't what I was hoping to hear...
Being Multiplat or not got nothing to do with anything, the devs showed like 2 trailers in 5 years and there was no other information about development or anything...
Imperator it was multiplat then exclusive then back to multiplat. Use google
announced as a multiplat?
heard of it
this game never existed in my opinion just one of those tech engine demos
I guess maybe 1080p/60fps was too hard on current gen consoles, well maybe?
WIPEOUT HD says hi. I was replying to this 'I guess maybe 1080p/60fps was too hard on current gen consoles, well maybe? ' WIPEOUT HD is NATIVE 1080p and 60fps to boot.
So its unfortunate WarDevil's developers couldn't stay in business long enough to deliver.
LOL That was hilarious. I'm sitting here drinking some tea right now too haha.
A PS3 exclusive (WipeOut HD) on the 360? dont think so buddy Think b4 u type
Unlikely, Shane Bettenhausen from Ignition said it was still alive, had changed direction and was due to be shown this year about 4 weeks ago. Maybe, just maybe their uploading the sites for an announcement within the next few hours/days? And I'm off to France on holiday tomorrow :(, I don't want to miss it EDIT: Oh dear, you can't even click on the WarDevil picture at Ignitions website, all the other pictures take you to the games site :( this doesn't look good. http://www.utvignition.com/... Try clicking on any of the other pictures, then go for WarDevil :(! R.I.P WarDevil :(.
Did it ever exist?
Yeah, guys, I think it's gone. This was at best, Vaporware, at worst ... well, a colossal waste of time and money.
Posted on the 16th July. 'In addition to UTV Ignition Entertainment’s new digital publishing focus, the company has also invested in a commitment to creativity and innovation as founding core values for its three internal studios. Headquartered in Tokyo, Florida and London UTV Ignition Entertainment’s internal studios have attracted some of the best talent in the industry including key ex-members from Platinum Games (nee Clover Studios), id Software, Square-Enix, Codemasters, and Capcom. The wholly owned UTV Ignition internal studios are in advanced stages of developing three original triple-A IPs: El Shaddai (Tokyo), Reich (Florida) and War Devil (London).' http://newsblaze.com/story/... Site re-launch? Here's hoping.
Maybe, I hope it isn't dead, but I mean they kept saying DNF wasn't dead for years. And then it was...
The article implies that they are going direct download. Also mobile gaming and facebook? That doesn't sound good to me.
I totally forgot about this game.
same here...it'd be a shame of this game fades away like duke of hazard...it looked promising
Strange. They said about the game and movie would launch together. Now there may be nothing at all?
Well, like everyone kept saying about 2 years ago, "this game is vaporware".
i forgot bout this game too. o wells bye bye wardevil. i rather have a new demon souls anyway XD not like its same creator but.....I DONT CARE!!!!.....
i was looking forward into it since i saw the first trailer.
well the problem was the recession, it farked those guys up. I don't think they could cope with it.
God I hope this game is still in the works. It looked absolutely sick.
Not sure why it is taking so long, wonder how they are still even funded after all this time. I don't think we even seen any gameplay ever for it.
Take a look at this announcement: http://www.utvignition.com/... Since london is developing WarDevil this can only mean that it is now running on Cryengine3. This could be interesting. I don't think WarDevil is dead.
but didn't these guys brag that theyr engine runs games at 1080p at 60 fps ? Guess they couldn't deliver and now they flock to cryengine 3 which is a good thing !
Was it ever alive?
They've already said that it isn't.
Never heard of it.
This game was considered vaporware for a long time. Infact everything seen ere from tech demos, and not running on any console what so ever. I don't believe we will ever see this game.
never heard of it im wonderin what happened to edge of twilight it looked amazing
A while back I visited the site and it said the site will be going under reconstruction.
another game that sinks without trace. whatever happened to huxley anyway? they showed some decent looking videos than nothing for years. is that one dead as well?
