I'm still stunned, at how many different emotions I felt in what should've been a simple demo.

That 2-3 hr demo was better than some AAA games.

Yoshi p and his team nailed it, literally everything is perfect, the graphics, the story, the theme, the characters, the combat, the music, I mean across the board 👌👌👌

Agreed, I was literally disappointed when I got to the end of the Eikonic Challenge. I was hoping for a just a little bit more lol. As I said in another post, I had so much fun with the demo that I will start over from the beginning with the full game instead of carrying my demo progress over.

That was one of the best demos I have ever played.

All the need to do is patch up the performance mode and add an option to remove motion blur and this game will be perfect in 60fps

Agree on removing motion blur. It was a bit much but I’m sure they’ll patch it eventually.

I think they already did because if you check the video they showed at the showcase, the version is already v1.003. The demo is still version v1.000.

I enjoyed the demo, what I didn't care for , the combat(better then I anticipated though i just personally prefer turn based just my opinion), Clive and his emo hair/clothes during a good portion of the demo. Not a huge deal about the emo stuff but figured I'd bring it up. Would it hurt square to make an rpg these days where I can search things. You used to be able to search cabinets bookshelf etc

It was enjoyable though. Story seems top notch. I'm buying day one. It convinced me

What I'm worried about is that atleast from the demo it seems like ff10 where you walk through areas and move on to the next. Will I be able to go back to previous spots, will I be able to grind a little bit(I enjoy grinding I find it soothing to a point)?

You will be able to backtrack through the map, just like in FFX, and of course you'll be able to grind.
However, grinding was not possible at all in the demo, which was a bit sad.

I remember maxing out both FFVIII and FFX demo back in the days 😅

I did have to laugh at Clive's teenage haircut. It was giving me Karen vibes. I was half expecting him to ask to speak to my manager.

I also hope to be able to grind out areas as well. Many people hate grindy RPGs but, if I enjoy the combat mechanics, I welcome it.

Instead of getting painted nails though, we'll be able to add blonde streaks to Clive's hair. Really really get the Karen look, with a 10% loyalty discount at any shop after three bonus dialogue options even if it's your first time

I have to admit, the demo made me change my mind. I found the trailers underwhelming, and I was not at all excited for this game. It seemed the characters didn't look very good, the voice sync was crap and the combat was a mess. I also was concerned about the story, especially the medieval setting.
After playing the demo, I'm way more likely to now get the game. It does look great. I think the trailers didn't do it justice, good for them for releasing that demo.

Just finished the demo. Great voice acting & great story. The Eikonic challenge is what gives a proper idea of what the combat’ll be like.
I was interested ever since the trailers showed they were going for a more serious tone, though I usually prefer turn-based I can see myself getting this day 1.

Man that was good stuff. I enjoyed the heck out of the music, gameplay, and story (the story is SO good so far). I'm just REALLY worried about its linearity so far. I'm really hoping it will open up a lot more than what we've seen. I'll look forward to reading a few things here and there before I buy but so far, I'm liking it a lot.

I think in this instance, the demo looks like its doing a good job of introducing the game and its mechanics without acting like a "demo" in the traditional sense. Best of all, progress also carries over to the full game.
