The Fallen King is clearly an ambitious platformer from Ubisoft. The development team has created a title with mostly high production values. Although IGN isnot fond of the character design, the animation is fluid and the make-up of the levels he travels through is extremely varied and beautiful by DS standards. It's all the more painful then that the control scheme is entirely stylus-based because the setup simply isn't as precise, comfortable or enjoyable as a traditional configuration. At the very least, it would've been nice to have the option to select D- Pad controls for those who don't want to maneuver Prince through dozens of hand-cramping stages with the stylus just for the sake of playing a game with touch controls. Touch-play is not automatically more immersive, as The Fallen King demonstrates time and time again.

GamingUnion.net: It's not news that the handheld scene sees a plethora and over-saturation of games that hit the market. Most of them aren't that great and the good ones are really quite far and few between. Ubisoft is easily one of the more notable publishers that constantly fart out really shoddy handheld titles, most of which are usually movie tie-ins or mere after-thoughts of the big boys on PS3 and Xbox 360.
There are some good titles, but they are far and few between. It's a shame, really.
Bloodlines was really bad. It had the potential but I think Ubi dropped the ball with it.
It's because generally handheld games are spinoffs of console games, and spinoffs often suck the big one
The PoP games on the PSP are actually really good. The sound issues that were reported on the reviewed UMD versions aren't present on the digital versions at all.
A look back at the history of the cult series, which is now 20 years old.
I had 'The original Prince of Persia' it was an awesome game, still want to play it today. Didn't know until now, Prince of Persia shares it's birthday with mine :D
One of the best game series's to come out in the history of gaming.
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer has picked up Jim Veevaert, the lead exec behind the Halo franchise, and Ubisoft Senior VP of publishing Jay Cohen to run Jerry Bruckheimer Games Studio as leads of production and development.
Alot of directions making videogames now...wtf.
I can't wait until Quentin Tarantino announces something.
My fellow Sony gamers, this must be considered as a victory for the entire video game industry! Though the article didn't say, it pretty much seems that Jim Veevaert got sick and tired of promoting a product that only exploits the weak-minded 12-year olds for the benefit of a shameless company called M$!
As evidenced by the video below, which shows the great damage done on the regular 360 users, there is no doubt that he was haunted by his conscience, causing him to leave! We salute you, Mr. Veevaert, for following your conscience!
Sony Gamers Lead the Way!
