DASH reflects his thoughts on the glaring omission made during Nintendo's surprise announcement of the Super Mario 3D All-Stars. But where was Super Mario Galaxy 2?
Cultured Vultures: Put on your freshest dungarees and chow down on the ripest mushroom as we reel off the best Mario games ever made to celebrate Mar10 Day.
My top 3 are Mario 3, Mario World and Mario 64. Mario Odyssey is also excellent, and I enjoyed Sunshine but didn't care for the Galaxy series.
GameCrate: "What Wii games should get a remake on Switch? Well, here are five suggestions!"
I know it's not a Wii title but it can be played on the Wii I want the Metroid Prime games on the Switch I have never played them.
5 Wii Games that Need to be Ported to Nintendo Switch - The Nintendo Switch would be a great home to the following Wii games...
I don’t think it would be so bad to turn Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort into a continuing franchise. The Wii isn’t around anymore, but we still get New “Super” Mario Bros, which the original “super” was based on the Super Nintendo console. Nintendo tried switching it up (heh) with 1-2 Switch, but that wasn’t nearly as big a hit. I think if they did an HD remaster of Wii Sports, or a new entry in the “series”, it would have immediate name recognition and would pull in some casuals, as well as some who want to get that sweet sweet nostalgia.
I did not like Skyward Sword. I played till the bird part, and just couldn't do it anymore. It felt like a chore playing it. Also, I am a Zelda fan, and this is the only Zelda game I didn't like.
If the collection included Galaxy 2, the whiners would be "but hey where's SM3DWorld?!!!"
Depending on the price I think it could be a fantastic deal, depending on the price. Also I really prefer them to be ports (not emulation, ports) rather than remasters. These are master pieces, you shouldn't change them at all. Mario 64 is not something like RE2 (which was a master piece, but certainly lacking in many many areas, gameplay not being the least one). Sometimes with Remasters / remakes I feel they do what people used to do back in the 60s/70s/80s with oldies, when they colorized them!!! The original look of some of those old movies where forever lost... Is not gonna happen with Mario of course, but you need to appreciate the look of the era
I kind of figured this already but it sucks cause it will probably be only digital. It would have been soooo good if it was in that collection.
I can understand a little of the disappoint with the earlier games not getting the full remake treatment, of course this is something we would all love.
But, at the same time, people had built this expectation out of nothing more than an unconfirmed rumour and some are now acting like Nintendo had failed to deliver on something they had promised. Ultimately, they are simply offering a chance for millions upon millions of gamers, many of who weren't even borne when the games came out, a chance to play some classic mario titles.
I was caught up in the hype of the rumour mill too, but that just shows the danger of believing bullshit from forums. I am still excited for all the Mario I can get my mitts on on Switch and I am excited to play all three games on the collection.
foe the price tag, all 3d marios should be on this collection.
Why is it that the biggest piece of news isn't that this is a LIMITED RELEASE even DIGITALLY. This is Nintendo again, creating artificial scarcity and preying on FOMO. Why do Nintendo fans just bend over backwards for every dumb thing Nintendo does to screw over people?
