Jacob St-Amour from Link-Cable Writes: "The year that was 2017 will be remembered as an amazing time for gaming with some of the greatest games of this generation being reliably available on any platform. From Nintendo finally releasing both The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey to accompany their groundbreaking hybrid console, indie darlings such as Cuphead and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrafice, as well as, third-party blockbusters in NieR: Automata and Resident Evil VII: Biohazard made for one of the best gaming lineups for a single year. While all of those did indeed receive widespread acclaim, Sony’s very own Horizon: Zero Dawn became one of the most beloved and cherished experiences of the year and its steady rise in popularity has made it one of the defining games of this generation."
PlayStation - The Concert is a magical musical experience for fans of the brand.
Sony is hosting its press conference at the start of CES 2025 in Las Vegas. As usual, PlayStation took the spotlight during the presentation, but not in the way you'd expect.
out of all the titles they could have chosen, those 3 could actually make decent movies.
They’ve tried a Horizon series and it fell apart, what makes them think a film is going to work with a shorter run time.
I was hoping the GoT series would focus on Jinn after the main game.
As PlayStation celebrates its 30th anniversary, let's explore the best PlayStation games Sony has to offer.
There's too many games to choose from

just from the top of my head
PS1 era was full of great RPGs, PS2 was racing generation i would pick top 200 and even that would be just a fraction.
Top contender for Best game of the generation.
Just got the plat and need to beat NG+ on vry hard to get 100% trophies.
Bit of love/hate relationship with it. Overall very good but
Dear lord combat was trash before you unlock the roll ability, and even after that there must have been 1000 encounters where the enemy was basically stuck to me. Found a lot of the combat annoying.
How many times did I have to press jump just so that Aloy would step over a twig on the floor? 5000 times? More?
Inventory management. Particularly resources and mods. Can't pick up loot as Inventory is full. Yeah, that happened hundreds of times too.
If the sequel can improve these elements it should be a masterpiece.
I really didn’t like this game. I know I’m the minority but I found it so boring and stopped playing 5 hrs. I’ve had friends try to get me interested in it again saying it’s Colorado, but it doesn’t do it for me. I can’t stand the rpg mechanics and want to throw the controller every time I select dialogue. Just make a cutscene ffs! I do not understand why people love this game. It’s garbage to me
Currently replaying on new game plus normal difficulty just to get the left over trophies to get the plat. Only really need to get the collectables, which seems to have reset as they don't show as being previously collected. Although when I did start to find various databanks it would say 15 out of 63 found.
Also have to redo the side quest as one person never showed up as an ally for the end war back in 2017.
My plan is to burn through the story get to right before the final fight, then I will go hunting for all collectables missed before.
Finally will move onto the Frozen Wilds that I've been sitting on for a few years.
Glad I didn't have to do the young Aloy section in the beginning this time.
I still remember the impact of the first gameplay trailer for Horizon Zero Dawn......when it went from CGI to gameplay, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The engine Guerilla developed is amazing. I hope Horizon II has the same impact on ps5....I believe it will.
