"With such games as DiRT and Pure competing for your attention, Pacific Rift has much larger shoes to fill than before. It's good, then, that the core Motorstorm racing model is so much fun and there are more ways to experience it now. However, the track design is its greatest success; the intricacy and variety of the courses will keep you coming back to explore the possibilities and test your mettle. Aside from a few remaining quibbles, Motorstorm: Pacific Rift is a notable improvement over the original and a blast to play."
Digital Foundry : Evolution Studios' Motorstorm is one of the first, finest and most fondly remembered of launch titles for PlayStation 3. It's a release designed to answer the question posed by each new console generation: what makes a game 'next-gen'? With its robust physics engine and massive tracks, Motorstorm serves up a bold affirmative answer to this question, delivering an experience that could never have existed on prior console hardware. At the same time, the path to release was fraught with challenges that almost serve as a microcosm of the PlayStation 3 release situation itself. It was a success, however, with a trilogy of PS3 releases, plus PSP, Vita and even PS2 off-shoots.
After Driveclub and Onrush, the dev team will now contribute to and assist with the development of the upcoming NFS.
Never really got into it myself I remember getting it with ps3 and being a bit underwhelmed I preferred the RC version they did for vita 🙌🏻🤣

Poor Heavy Rain lol that game was and is a pile. Emulation sounds cool though - Res. Evil 3 and Directors Cut all the way.
So games run at 10 fps and graphical glitches not seen since pcsx2 in 2003,.. I will get there someday.
||nice score this means motorstorm 2 is a must buy||
it's due in 4 days and I've been waiting like for the whole year for this! it's a pity that LBP will instead released on the same day and that will surely affect sales on the Motorstorm part! but Motorstorm is a proven IP and LBP is a new IP with huge hype! I want both and I hope lots and lots of people do the same! we'll have a blast online.

I wish I wanted to buy this game, but it still doesn't have enough features for me.
it's back to like 8/10 status in the overall rankings. For a little while reviews of 6/10 and 7/10 were making me think the game had tanked or something. That they had messed it up compared to the original.
Hell, I played the demo and it wasn't bad at all. That review of 6/10 surprises me.
Let;s call Motorstorm what it is... Pain on wheels. All there is to it. This game should've been called "MOTORPAIN" cause the fundemental gameplay from pain is in line here.
You drive a few feet and are slammed into a rock wall. Pain, you fling yourself into concrete... Same difference, same lame looking ragdoll physics to boot.
Motorstorm 2 looks pretty good, but the simple fact they want you wreck so many tmes just to show off their absurd damage and collision detection is a weak statment of look at me, look at me!!
The game isn't an 8 game... more like a 6 and that's probably what I'll be giving it when I get the game on Sunday.
