Review: State of Decay 2 | PC PowerPlay

A promising sequel that, despite its improvements on the original, still retains as many bugs as it does zombies.

Look at the last 2 first-party games Phil Spencer shipped.

The state of Xbox in 2018 is now worse than in 2017. Their E3 has to be stupendous after this.

UCForce2561d ago

Microsoft E3 2018 is going to fill a lot of Third Party Exclusive partnership which isn’t going to work because MS try to hide their embarrassment.

RpgSama2561d ago (Edited 2561d ago )

Its not about having a stupendous E3 its actually releasing those games and after that, that those games are actually good, because there was a time when Xbox had stupendous E3 showings with games like Scalebound, Phantom Dust (the remake), Fable Legends that were not released and Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2 that were highly awaited just to come out bad and Crackdown 3 which looks like another Dud.

So now is not even about having a great E3, MS at least for me has to prove themselves not only in what they show, but actually what they eventually release.

DigitalRaptor2561d ago (Edited 2561d ago )

Well that's true as well. It's crazy to think how many of these games that were once touted as flagship games for the XB1 ended in outright failure. Some news regarding Crackdown 3... a verified user at Resetera had this to say about the game and the cloud tech:

"It's still in MP yeah, it'd be a disaster for them to not have it in at this point given the resources they've thrown at it. From what I know the plan for what the cloud tech would do in that game was much, much larger in scope from when dev started to how it's used now." https://www.resetera.com/th...

Uh-oh.

I guess you can say...

The Xbox is currently in a State of Decay.

Both of those games sum it up, like the shallow $60 Sea of Thieves.

The Ashen Luca (pro xbox youtube) said, she would rather have last years mantra of having no games than 2018's games that are buggy broken and little content.

I was looking forward to SoD as well, thought they might get this one right after the original SoD had a solid showing.

How wrong I was.

E3 is going be a joke for the xbox.

Xbox fans said Phil was the saviour. He seems to be your Destroyer.

The Wood2561d ago (Edited 2561d ago )

Hey...In my opinion, the defenders use the wrong metrics as their defence of his tenure . . . Yeah yeah, game pass, bc yeah yeah.......I would appreciate those options 100 percent but on the main metric, phil AND microsoft have flattered to deceive.

ILostMyMind2561d ago

MS can show hundreds "must have of all times", it doesn't matter anymore. Maybe in next generation.

Atticus_finch2561d ago

I didn't think xbox could do worst than 2017, I was really wrong.
