State of Decay 2 has a lot to love, but it’s overwhelmed by legacy issues and a slew of all-new ones that came along for the co-op ride.

Loving the Xbox lineup so far this year. Couldn't be happier with the power of the X

Never forget to put the /s behind sarcastic comments. People can't spot that dirty smirk in your face while you wrote this.

BiggerBoss2544d ago (Edited 2544d ago )

I thought it was obvious.

I'm surprised Microsoft didn't try to tap into the power of the cloud for this game.

bluefox7552544d ago

Normally I'd agree, but this is something that no one could say with a straight face, lol.

dirkdady2543d ago (Edited 2543d ago )

Gamespot just put out their review 5/10 "mediocre". Man game can't seem to catch a break

I don't understand why the game is in such a state when the devs had so much time to just build on top of what they released before. In less time teams have created entire open world games.. could microsofts decision to make this free on game pass have something to do with it?

I upvoted, because I laughed my ass off.

2pacalypsenow2544d ago

When you wanna play the most mediocre exclusives, there’s no power greater than X

Dark_Knightmare22543d ago

Lol more power to you but as an og x1 owner this year and last have been horrible

Bathyj2543d ago

It has the highest res, bad games available, no doubt about it.

BiggerBoss2543d ago

Everybody knows that crappy games are better in true 4K!

I'm starting to think that Sea of Thieves, State of decay 2 and Crackdown should've been bundled on one disk.. Like those demo disk from back in the day.

I'm sure some will find the joy in those games... Like the island of misfit toys

BiggerBoss2544d ago

You joke, but I legit loved those little demo disks when I was a kid.

GamesMaster19822544d ago (Edited 2544d ago )

This really does look fun so looking forward to playing it. And yes im mainly a PlayStation gamer . But if I like a game either system I’m going to play it . Loved state of decay so defo checking this out too . Hell im going to buy a Switch because they announced Bayonetta 3 . Fuck fan wars At the end of the day . I work my ass off at work, and I love games so I’m going to play the games I like regardless which console.

BiggerBoss2544d ago

Good for you man. I'll never knock a guy for enjoying a game, even if reviews say it suck.

I'm not personally into State of Decay, so won't be buying this, but I'm into plenty of other games that got terrible reviews.

paintedgamer19842543d ago

Im not for racing games either but someone stated exclusively all ms had the rest of the year was cd3 and i was correcting them. Im glad at least ms has Forza in the fall. Many racer fans hold that series in high regard... at least on xbox anyhow. MS if anything does racers justice but many people arent going to pay 499$ to play an amazing racer (highest rated xbox exclusive) a few good, some ok, and many mediocre titles.

paintedgamer19842544d ago (Edited 2544d ago )

How can there possibly be this many blunders in a row?

Sea of Thieves, State of Decay, and next Crackdown 3, if that even launches this year.

Its gotten so bad xbox dudes dont even make lists with these games anymore. when just 6 months ago...

Even the xb1x "the most powerful console in the world" is having problems running a AA game, a 30$ game, a game that is no technical marvel even by 2013 standards, at 4k 30 let alone what it should be at 4k 60.

This review by GI is very honest and direct to the point, while other publications that are pro xbox give 9's and 9.5's ignoring the blatant problems and lying directly to their fanbases. Its a damn shame. Almost like watching a burning house that noone is trying to put out or even know how.

OneLove2544d ago (Edited 2544d ago )

Lol sit down you're blatantly blaming xbox saying it can barely run this game. When obviously its ran much more taxing games. You're just a fanboy based off that single comment.

Rude-ro2543d ago

Which open world game is running with no issues?
Pubg? Nope
Seot? Nope
State of decay? Nope
Facts argue your defense

BiggerBoss2543d ago (Edited 2543d ago )

@onelove

The point is, that the Xbox One X is CLEARLY powerful enough to run this type of game, so WHY is the game releasing in such a buggy and glitchy state?

trooper_2543d ago

If it's so powerful, then every game should be running at its best. Why is this game and Sea of Thieves such a crappy mess?

Oh...wait...

2pacalypsenow2544d ago

We’ll looks like all Xbox 1 has left is crackdown 3

BiggerBoss2543d ago

I hate racing games, so I completely disregard Forza.

For me personally, I have no reason at all to upgrade to the Xbox One X, because all I have to look forward to is Crackdown 3, which looks pretty crappy.

There's a possibility that Microsoft may release a new Halo or Fable game, but those franchises are SO stale by this point that I'm not excited at all.

Glad I went with PS4 this gen, and I kinda regret buying an Xbox One at all...

2pacalypsenow2543d ago

Forza is a yearly release much like call of duty and sports games.

It's really something new.
