Fighting games may be doomed. Injustice 2 is a great fighter but is riddled with every kind of microtransaction, RNG loot boxes, and dodgy dlc practice possible.

Even if you bought the ultimate edition($140 in Australia) or season pass there are still multiple characters locked behind a microtransaction paywall(Mr Freeze, Cheetah, etc). The only way to get them is through source crystals which can only be purchased in any usable amount through real world $$$. So greedy!

I'm not surprised which is why I have no interest in this. When the second ver releases I'll get maybe. They're still with that old school fighting game tactic all the time. Release a new game for balance patches, a few new characters and a slight extension to the story lol. I figured after Persona 4 Arena had it's ultimate version anything no matter what would

You've never bought an Arc Sys works game before have you? They don't release "Complete editions" unless you count CS and CP Extend. Blazblue CF doesn't have one, GG revelator doesn't, and neither does P4 Ultimax.

Something that was never mentioned because their Marketing team is garbage. But according to famitsu the base game will cost $40 and the Season pass for the other 20 characters is going to be $20 which would bring the cost to just a regular priced game. They did it to make the cost of entry lower being that it is a niche fighter they figured it wouldn't of sold as much at $60. Now they just caused a massive snowball to come rolling down the hill for 5 months because they couldn't be asked to explain or provide info on the announcement.
