Paul writes "I'm a big fan of the EA Access program, and in particular the way it lets you download trials of popular upcoming games early. In this way, I learned that I didn't like Star Wars Battlefront without having to pay for it, and that Battlefield: Hardline was a lot more fun than the description made it sound. The latest game to get the Early Access treatment is the upcoming Need For Speed Payback, so being a massive driving game fan I dived straight in and downloaded it as fast as my internet would allow."
After nearly three decades of NFS games, here's a list of the best Need For Speed titles that have ever been released in the past years, ranked by The Nerd Stash.
The white-knuckle racer and supernatural horror adventure join the lineup October 6.
I absolutely loved Vampyr. It's an underrated gem. The combat can be kind of clunky, but the story, characters, setting, abilities, and everything else is great.
The Microsoft Store is running a sale on a number of Xbox One games this week. The games on sale include Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, Unravel 2, Burnout Paradise Remastered, Need for Speed Payback, and more.
All of the deals are for under $15 and one is for just $2.99. The deals are for digital downloads only. The sale ends in five days.
Good to hear its a return to form.
"there is a good racial and gender balance"
Ok, now I will pre-order 😆
The final game will probably have lootboxes where you can unlock each chapter of the story, if you're lucky :)
I played the trial on ea access and at first I was like Good graphics, interesting characters and story... Then I played and the driving is shit even for an arcade racer. What should be epic moments like jumping off a ramp at the end of a story mission is done automatically. Huge mistake. It also had really bad texture pop in on xbox one. I will wait till it's free in the vault on ea access.
terrible pop-in, terrible driving mechanics, terrible story. I was planning on buying it before i actually played it. Thank goodness for ea access. It saved me $60 on this trash
