Why the Nudity in Watch Dogs 2 Should Not Be Removed

In a title rated M for mature audiences only, isn't it ridiculous gamers are having a conservation about removing nudity from a video game when it's so prevalent in every day media (not to mention their real-world lives)?

Agreed shouldn't be removed. It's not the early/late 90s anymore where not looking at the rating is somewhat excusable. We're in an age were a lot of the gaming generation is having kids, they know better, they can look at the rating and know what is appropriate for their kids. But this problem happens with movies too "How dare Deadpool, a rated R movie and very inappropriate character in the comic books, be highly offensive and inappropriate for my 5 year old." But alas, parents can never do anything wrong it's always the world that is against them.

Just as a side... The comment about the early/late 90s might not be totally fair... In many ways (at least in the U.S.) I feel like we've gone backwards on the moral side (read on -- I might not be saying what you are expecting at this point)... Though we undoubtedly have much easier access to nudity/sexually explicit material --- with the exception of homosexual subjects, society MOSTLY makes a much bigger fuss about it all than we did in the 80s. We're so much more easily up in arms about it while comparatively we don't give a darn about graphic violence. For example --- I would say that it almost seems like (tiny exaggeration) most PG-13 movies in the 80s were going to have bare breasts in them at some point. It is just NOT at all common today. Additionally Sixteen Candles (rated PG) not only had a close up of bare breasts, but a full shower scene (TRY THAT TODAY). On the other hand, there is violence so graphic on primetime network television (and has been for a good while) that would have been pushing it for many R rated horror films in the 80s. We don't make much of a fuss about graphic violence (unless of course it is toward a "protected" / "off limits" --political correctness-- group or "sensitive time"). But, if a woman's nipple makes an appearance, we spend more media money/time/effort worrying about the horrible harm a beautiful area of the body will inflict on society than we do on issues that actually do matter. We are so much more numbed to violence. Our increased easy access to material depicting sexuality/nudity is generally not what would be considered "mainstream" or "tasteful" in most public circles at many points in history (our culture or a majority of others). YET -- we are more up tight about plain old nudity it seems than we have been for a good while. Heck even a number of art films from the 60s and 70s got away with light ratings that today would probably require studio battles to remove an NC-17 rating. Madness.

It's a mature game, the violence in that game is far more mature than the nudity.

GTA didn't lie and hide the graphic nudity. If you look at the back of the box it says nudity if you look at the back of Watch Dogs 2 it doesn't

Which box are you looking at and the ESRB clearly states it, just look it up.

Content Descriptors: Blood, Intense Violence, Nudity, Sexual Themes, Strong Language, Use of Drugs

ESRB rating clearly says it. I don't know if you live in a country that uses it, but if it surprised anyone then it looks like someone didn't check it. Complain to the raitings people not UBI.

Nudity in games is stupid for the simple reason someone spent weeks or months of their life modeling a vagina and dick. It seems pretty pathetic. Movies the person is real and just took off a shirt or a pair of pants. In games someone went home and realized they paid rent with vagina texture money. I have no issues with nudity but I never understood fake nudity with animation or games. It always felt overly force to try and be shocking and no way it can't be forced because it literally is. Yes some films force it in for shock value but it's someone real.

That's real this is not. Nudity in games is just only put in for one reason,shock value and it's stupid. It always comes across as incredibly forced and dull.

Yeah, I wish every game out there has a glitch that removes all the models clothes, and show modeled genitalia. We are all naked anyway so what does it matter. /s

Maybe have an option in the settings to turn On or Off for nudity.

So what they're basically saying is that rating they slapped on the game is useless. And don't they make the publisher/developers pay for the rating too?
