Skewed and Reviewed have posted several images to go with the new Trailer for EA Star Wars Battlefront Death Star DLC. The new images show the aerial attacks of the game

Do you know that modern fighter planes of today holds the pilots hand so they CAN'T crash into ground?

How can you expect a fighter that is supported by R2D2 not being easy to fly? The more advanced a fighter becomes, the easier it should be to control!

Wow, this is looking great. Definitely has massive potential. Hell, it might even be better than Bespin. Looks like I'll be getting the season pass after all.
And the skirmish mode sounds promising too. I'm interested to see how that'll work.

Very true. I like that it is not just maps but that we are getting new space models and modes as well as other good stuff. It makes wonder what pack #4 will be as it has been too be announced for a bit. Edited: saw it now did not read down far enough when I was posting images and adding in the opinion part.

The final expansion pack will be 'Rogue One: Scarif'. They've already confirmed both Jyn and Krennic will be playable in that DLC.

I think that is basically the sequel, a polished and enhanced version.

I think the sequel will be a lot less rushed, but it's a whole different game. It won't make this one 'obsolete'. I mean I'm just speculating but it'll probably be set in the time of the first trilogy. That would be really cool anyways. But we haven't got much information yet anyways so who knows.

What the heck... the main game is $20, but the season pass is still $70. Pretty obvious where all the content of the game went. Disgusting. I'd the game and the season pass for $40, but not a penny more.

There was enough content at launch to justify the price. They had multiple game modes and multiple maps for each plus training modes. They never promised a campaign nor content they did not deliver. Plus they gave 2 Maps and a new mode for the Jakku Content free, the Twilight on Hoth map was also free. They have more free stuff coming so they have given more free content than most developers and the argument that the game did not have much is false. There were 5-6 modes each with 2-3 maps per planet and 3 planets at launch and much more now. The DLC was $49.95 for four packs., DLC 1 added 2 new locales and 2 maps each, a new game mode and 2 heroes. DLC 2 had 3 maps and 1 new game mode and 2 heroes so it is not like they held back anything significant to charge folks. People just like to whine. I have seen games with far less content at launch not get a peep said but because it was EA everyone had to gripe. Evolve had far less content as an example.

So Battlefront is worth the retail price? Seriously it's the first time I hear that. Plus, considering the small amount of people playing the game (at least on PC), splitting the community with modes and maps doesn't sound really great unless you plan on buying the season pass.

You just need to ask around. Sure there are many that said they wanted more, but there are also many who say people are just griping. Like I said, there are numerous games that shipped with less content for $59.99 that got a pass. Evolve, The Order: 1886, Street Fighter V and for some, Destiny. I play on PC and I have never had an issue finding a game especially the new Bespin stuff. Now yes, some modes may not have many playing, but I know 3-4 modes where I will always find a game.

It actually weirdly makes sense. And it's not the only game with a season pass more expensive than the game itself. A few months back I actually accidentally bought the Season Pass of Arkham Knight because for it's price, I thought it was the full game PLUS the season pass. Crazy stuff anyway. I feel ridiculous though because a few weeks ago I coulda got THIS season pass for 26$ (G2A probably, can't remember). I hesitated for some reason. Now the Season Pass is back to 40$ minimum. Hopefully I'll get another chance though. The DLCs are really fleshing out ...

DLC is a hot topic. I remember the days of an expansion pack which was usually a smaller campaign to extend the story, and perhaps some multiplay content. They were usually $29.99 and people were fine with or without it. It was kind of a hey if you love the game here is some more to tide you over until the next chapter or release of interest but you do not need to have it. Now games come out with DLC being a huge part of their marketing plan. Companies tout how many DLC packs will be available and allow players to buy them, before the game even launches. So of course this makes people think ok when crunch time hits and they are rushing to complete the game and get it to market, naturally some stuff is lefty out. I worked for two game companies while I was starting out and I saw stuff shoved out the door 60% complete and buggy as hell as suits said it was over time and budget and had to go out. So yes, some games, have things removed to meet production schedules. It is often a case of not removed, but not included as planned. Any PC player for Call of Duty would tell you that maps for us used to be free as part of our update patches while console people had to pay for them. It was said to be needed as Microsoft and Sony controlled the networks while for PC we updated via open internet., Well naturally someone at Activision said hey if even 20% of PC players buy the maps we would make this much more, and there you go. But with COD it is 4 new maps per pack and a Zombie mode. You know this going in so it does not look like stuff is being held back. But when new modes and other enhancements are part of the mix, it can look like stuff was held back. When DLC is available at or say within 6 weeks of launch, that is usually a big clue.

You dont have to buy a season pass. The first dlc was actually not very good but Bespin is great. Just select which dlc you want if you got to but as it is a lot of free content gets released including the Xwing mission VR for PSVR

It should hit ea access soon enough, thats when ill pick it up, then ill just buy dlc.
