2K Games have released a brand new video for their upcoming open world crime game Mafia 3, which shows off the game’s vast open world, an authentically recreated New Orleans from the 1960s, made using gorgeous graphics that will make any player sit up and take notice.
More people should be making a trip to this bayou.
Agreed....game was fantastic. Especially as a person of color, I enjoyed the side missions.
The game looked interesting, and from the trailers it seemed it had a great soundtrack, but the buggy release (AI) and disappointing reviews made me pass on it. No idea if they ever fixed its shortcomings post-launch.
From VG247: "If you’ve been enjoying either Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA V, or Mafia: The Definitive Edition in VR thanks to some handy fan-made mods, we’ve got some bad news. Thanks to a DMCA claim by Take Two Interactive - the parent company of Rockstar Games and 2K - has led development on the most popular VR mods to grind to a halt.
This news comes via Luke Ross - the sole creator of a variety of VR mods for the aforementioned games - who released a lengthy post to his supporters. In it, he claims to have received a DMCA request from Take Two Interactive for his projects and that the company requested that he “remove all their copyrighted works from [his] Patreon page”. This was confirmed by Kotaku who reached out to Patreon directly."
I mean, if he was modding a game that someone else built, and charging for it on patreon - this seems pretty cut and dry for a DMCA.
If he was not profiting from it in any way though, would be nice to let companies let this shit slide more often
KeenGamer: "Mafia 3 has a huge cast of characters - good, bad, and both - but these 10 characters were the ones who stood out the most. With Mafia 3 set in the 1960's, these characters are influenced by the ever-changing times and the people surrounding them."
And of course, why would i expect the video to even be in the article?
Mafia franchise was a serious, grounded, immersive, detailed and moderately realistic experience, using huge attention to detail in its gameplay and story to bring a strong, powerful, emotional experience.Mafia 3 lacks any of that. With it's eagle-visions, car torpedos,over-the-top butchering neck-knifing animations (which look cheap and 8-years-dated), BS. arcade driving where every turn you take is a drift, stupid over-the-top shooting with stupid over-the-top shooting with grenade-launchers, were Lincoln brutally butchers someone..with gore, pain and screams while the guys 5 meters away hear nothing There's a button for ramming smith with you that is my Deduction from all videos I saw.So Please guys the game needs Mafia's atmosphere and a lot more details In Graphics,Animations,Driving and please remove those icones that always appear like electric icones it's so stupid....
How are you going to turn an epic tale of the mafia into a blacklivesmatter vigilante quest? What's up with millennials wanting to relive the 60s? News flash dummies, the 60s were fucking terrible. Stop picking old scabs.
Two of my all time favourite franchises releasing a couple of months apart of each other. The other one of course being Deus Ex. :)
For me, the problem isn't the era per se, but the character. I still really wish I was playing as some Costa Nostra Italian greaseball like Ray Liotta in Goodfellas.
