This is pretty cool. There are a few games I want to try out in the vault.

AngelicIceDiamond3450d ago

I wanna try UFC actually. Mirrors Edge 2 and Mass Effect Andromeda 5 days early with a discount for subscribers lucky bastards lol.

user99502793450d ago

As long as you dont have a download cap, WOOO! party tymez.

donthate3450d ago

Yup, so many free games with this service you have to worry about your download cap is a first world problem. Just goes to show how good of a value this service is!

:D

Heyxyz3450d ago

Man, I really wish PS had this. I love Sony, but I hate how they made the decision that we didn't want this for us. It's just such a good deal, and it only hurts the PS brand by not having it.

donthate3450d ago

Sony didn't make the decision that you didn't want this, they made the decision to ensure you only buy services from them!

There is a big difference.

Sunny_D3449d ago

They wanted to have you invest in their service like PSnow which also has EA games btw.

Zeref3445d ago

EA Access and PSnow is not the same.

BigGamersSmallTalk3450d ago

Best value in gaming right here. So happy that Microsoft allowed it, although it really should be available on every platform. Shame I can't get it on PS4 like I do Xbox One. Sony really dropped the ball by saying this wasn't a value and making up gamers minds for them.

ULTp0ltergeist3450d ago

Well you know the PS fanboys, it's not a big deal because Sony says so.

Darkwatchman3450d ago (Edited 3450d ago )

Every itching has to be about fanboys and calling fanboys out on articles like these right? Jeez, it's like a normal discussion without bringing in irrelevant platform wars is impossible on this site. Grow up and have a discussion about the actual topic and not try to spin it on fanboys. This article isn't about fanboys. You see people commenting here that own ps4's wishing EA access was on there and even the comment you replied above being an Xbox one owner not being vitriolic and vicious about having EA access and playstation not having it.. Do you see them trash talking microsoft or Xbox? No because it's unnecessary. Just learn to love games and talk about games without resorting to infantile flame war b.s.

u4one3450d ago (Edited 3450d ago )

@dark:

go back and read through all of the comments when EA access was announced. Look at the comments in just about every xbox article as well. i guarantee that you will see twisting contortions of view, justifications, sh*t talking and trolling flags within the first 10 comments on all of them. this is totally a sony first website and the fanboys are always talking sh*t about anything positive on the xbox front - especially if its something the ps4 doesn't have.

On Topic:

EA Access has actually been much cooler than I expected. It really is a shame that Sony wouldn't let it come to the PS4. PS4 owners really are missing out on a great value there unfortunately. Hopefully this will get changed sometime in the future as it really should be available to both of those platforms. Nice to see EA doing something that doesn't wreak of greed for once.

donthate3450d ago

u4one:

I don't know how long the contract is for, but MS has an exclusivity with EA after Sony declined EA Access.

EA Access is for now an Xbox One exclusive that I hope comes to Xbox 360.

rainslacker3449d ago (Edited 3449d ago )

@u4one

To be fair, when this was first announced, most people just saw EA. EA isn't exactly known to be the pinnacle of consumer friendly, and a lot of people were skeptical...myself included.

In hindsight, it was probably unfair of me to be overly critical, although I figured it to be much like PS+, but locked in to EA games...which was sort of a double edged sword for me. Now, seeing how well they've managed to make it a worthy service, I wouldn't mind seeing it on PS4. I'd probably find enough value in it to subscribe. Despite seeing a lot of games I'd have no interest in, I see about just as many that I would. As I recall, at the time of it's launch, some of it's features were tied to digital purchases, which aren't my thing. I probably never would have cared if it was on PS4 to begin with, but I likely would have been skeptical of EA either way.

I honestly don't even remember how I felt about it back then. I don't think I was upset that Sony wasn't allowing it, but I also don't recall thinking that people were missing out on much from it's exclusion. I personally thought it was more that Sony didn't want it to compete with PS+...which is logical for the time, but then Sony made PS+ mandatory for online, so it wasn't really direct competition. I think the biggest thing I was concerned about was that it would become a trend and every publisher would have their own similar service, which could grow to be a bad thing if publishers abused the system to maximize profits.

Dragon Age: Inquisition Retro Review – A Nostalgic Leap Short Of Legendary

Dragon Age: Inquisition, developed by BioWare, is the third installment in the cherished Dragon Age series. It represents a major evolution from its predecessor, Dragon Age II, incorporating elements that were well-loved in the original Dragon Age: Origins but also introducing new features that stand on their own. While Inquisition improves upon Dragon Age II in many respects, it falls short of the exceptional standards set by Origins.

The quality of these free games has been awesome. Before anyone says they are not free I was already giving Amazon $6 a month for prime shipping and video this isn't why I pay for my subscription

Teflon021335d ago

Still technically paying for it, even if it wasn't your intent. They've been giving out games with Twitch prime, they just changed the name. It's the same sub as that was. If you weren't aware, great. But you're paying for it.

That being said, I don't personally care. For me as long as you're willing to pay that for 1 service and get more. I personally take it as free. Like prime video, music though the prime version is trash, and all the Twitch benefits are all free to me because I didn't care about those when I got it. Just comes with it.

Only noted because that's technically wrong as a defense to that argument, whether I'm on yourside with the initial statement lol

mkis0071335d ago

It's free to anyone who has already been paying. IDK why people need to split hairs.

TinkerNation1335d ago

How does Prime Gaming work? Do you keep the games, or is it only as long as you have Prime?

Germaximus1335d ago

lol Nice distraction from how they're now charging people to increase viewership. It's "just an option." /wink lol

NautilusXIII1335d ago

gonna assume this is pc only?
