To all PlayStation fans out there:

We need to collectively stop coming to articles that are clearly trying to rile us up like this. Yes even in the N4G comment sections. Think about it, all some loser has to do is give a PS game/PS related product an obviously biased and BS review and we come flocking. Meanwhile, they're sitting there rubbing their mitts because this flow of traffic is a good thing for them.

I promise you that trolling articles and reviews wouldn't be nearly as numerous as they are if we simply tuned them out. The sole purpose of this review score was to bring out the PS fans and drive traffic, nothing more.

There will be a few more trolling reviews for this game besides this one. Someone is going the up the ante and dish out a 6/10, and someone else will give it a 5/10 for no multiplayer. It would be so nice if these reviews would only have like 2 o 3 comments only. because within a week tops, you'd see a big change in the entire industry of how games are reviewed.

There are 3 other reviews (all positive, with higher scores) and combined they only have about 23 comments so far. Yet this one already has 45 comments. Let's be smarter than this.

Most of the Videogamer crew (previously shown on their website profiles) have very high Xbox gamerscores and very low trophy points. This shows they prefer to game on Xbox.

Personally, I think the 3 Uncharted games on PlayStation THREE are superior to most current-gen releases.

I said the same thing, on what planet does not having aim assist make a shooter bad. If anything it makes to all about skill, but I see more and more as games come out we're entering the E for Everyone gameplay design where the majority of games are using the same mechanics just to appease the growing "core-common" audience.

Core gamers who grew up with gen 3 / 4 / and 5 were gamers and played games with no internet, not assistance, regardless of what the mechanics or learning curve was. Instead of complaining this isn't like COD, you either learned and adapted or died.

I'm not one to nitpick, but this is absolutely ridiculous. You want more aim-assist because you don't like the weapon sway.

What are "gamers" (and I use the term extremely lightly) coming to these days. Not every game plays the same nor should it. I wouldn't rank Uncharted's shooting mechanics as top tier, but they're good, especially in the later games. It's not snap-shot mechanics like COD or many other shooters out there, where you simply get your reticule close enough then it locks to the target (aim-assist), so no you actually have to do a tiny tad bit of work adjusting your reticule to keep it on the targets, and can't sit back and mindlessly shoot. It was the reason I loved TLOU shooting, because Joel was a normal man shooting a gun, not an elite sniper so sway added realism to the experience, and if it bothered you simply upgrade the sway ability.

I've come to realize this new generation of gamers are just stupid, and even some of the ones who are old enough to know better. If it's not hand feed to them or given to them easily it's not good in their opinion.

It is like outside the gaming world where they pander to every kid and moms that have a complaint. That is why they give out "participation" trophies in sports. They want to make everybody feel warm and fuzzy inside and don't want to upset anybodies feelings.

Personally, I don't know how a game that has never been on the PS4 and has just gone through remastering, looks aged. But these are the same people that probably like the BC on xbone1 and want to play games that are like over 10 yrs old and look like crap.

Redone Assets has nothing to do with any of these remasters outside of trying to make them look better than last-gen, and closer to the current-gen. So once again what's your point?

from the demo all I noticed that was difference was the 1080p and the 60 fps everything else looked the same. Great games but I was expecting a bit more for 3 of Playstations biggest exclusives in one box.

I don't think you've been following this collection, AT ALL, if you think they're straight ports. Naughty Dog has actually been overly forthcoming about mechanics and graphical assets being updated and used differently throughout the games.

Sounds like someone used to fast and aim-assist heavy games.

I'm glad games exist that aren't just that. Not to say that I think Uncharted shooting mechanics are great, but I'm glad it's not just another aim assist game where people measure their capability in getting rapid head shots.

As to their score, who cares? Some guy who can throw sentences together says it's not the best. I'm not bothered by it. I just think he's a bit biased in what he looks for in games and expect shooters to fall in line with his view of what a shooter should be. It's a poor review, IMHO, but I don't really care. Most reviews are poor reviews, especially the ones that throw out 9s and 10s on most major releases like this.

Gears has its fans who are just as passionate or even moreso that you are about UC. If I am not mistaken, Gears used to always outsell UC and hence has a larger fan-base.

To infer that somehow Gears is undeserving of a 9/10 score and it should have gone to your UC is kind of childish. That's your opinion. The reviewer happens to disagree. I don't see how you insulting Gears remake helped to change the review score.

Are you say that if he liked the Gear remake, he should also like UC remake? Maybe he likes MP that come with Gears and hates that it was removed from UC.

Can you be anymore salty? Who cares its just a review. Not everyone is going to love a product. The problem with movie designed games is they do actually get old. Regardless I haven't played the game and neither have you. I would say the game deserves 8s/9s too but again not everyone is going to love it.

Plus old games are old games, MCC also got similar scores and I don't see many gamers unhappy. After all we should be grateful these corps are allowing us to replay these classic today.

Are you being hyperbolic? 7 is a respectable score. Its not brilliant but respectable. Would you rather Steve Burns (the reviewer) give it a high score but still mention the underlying problems of the game? That would be quite contradictory wouldn't it. So take a step back and think about the score, think about the words you are using, and try to be more logical about all this. And remember review scores are all relative.

How does a collection of all three upscaled to 1080 drop the game collection to 70?

The review does not take into account their past opinions of the series in any way, shape, or form.

And the exclusion of multiplayer is no big deal. I know of no person who bought Uncharted for multiplayer. This game is all about the quality of the campaign.

Uncharted is a great series but this collection hardly updates the graphics or adds anything to the original game....if anything it takes away with getting rid of the multiplayer.

Compared to the work done on the Gears of War UE or Halo Master Chief Collection there was not much work done for this collection.

Games are amazing overall, but shooting is actually pretty bad. I have played enough TPS games to immediately realize that.

I don't know what people drop their standards all of a sudden when it comes to the shooting in Uncharted. Even compared to their own Last of Us, the mechanics aren't that good. Granted the rest of the game, the platforming, graphics, cinematics, and story make up for it, but you can't be afraid to criticize what's true.

It's only 1 over Uncharted collection, and that's mostly because Rare replay has incredible value, being $30...compared to $60.

I don't see what that has to do with the value though. I played Uncharted 2 and 3 for free because I got them from a friend on PS3. Your point doesn't really make sense.

Comparatively there are much better remasters out there for less. I didn't wanna bring up Gears of war ultimate, because I have both consoles and it'll create fanboy tension, but that's the best example I can think of.

Keep in mind I'm not comparing the two games, I'm comparing how much work went into remastering them, and the price.

I don't know, I love the series and based on the new things added to the game I fully expect to love them all over again. The site and the author are entitled to their opinions, although looking at older games with newer eyes is a bit distasteful. One cannot do that, unless it was clearly stated that a complete overhaul was taking place and I don't mean just graphics and a few mechanics, but like a total overhaul. Where now you can open closed doors that where meant as set dressing and create whole new areas that never existed.
