Really interested to see how this turns out. Reading now.

Venomousfatman3658d ago

Me too. Can't wait to pick it up when the game releases. I've wanted a REAL new Star Fox game for a long time. I'm finally going to get it now :)

HisRoyalFlyness3661d ago

It's nice to hear that the game is giving the fans what they want

rbailey3661d ago

This was really the only game Nintendo had to show at E3. Def expecting bigger and better things from them next year when they talk about the next console.

wonderfulmonkeyman3661d ago (Edited 3661d ago )

Xenoblade X and the reveal of its first bit of English voice acting. (which is very well done, thankfully)
And the Treehouse had a couple of nice spots for Maiden of Black Water and Fast Racing Neo.
Yoshi's Woolly World and M&L Paper Jam rounded it out pretty well in the end, too.
If it weren't for that damnable atrocity called Federation Force and the stupid AC board game, they would have had another excellent E3 under their belt...

RPGrinder3661d ago (Edited 3661d ago )

Earthbound beginnings, Smash DLC, yokai watch, zelda 3ds. Nintendo had more games at E3 with release dates than people were willing to open there eyes for.

Fire Emblem as wekk is a big deal.

The week before they announced the Bravely Second localization.

Federation Force is actually getting previewed quite well. People need to give it a chance

The 10th Rider3661d ago

I agree, actually. If they'd slipped Fast Racing Neo, Fatal Frame, the Smash Bros announcements, the Earthbound announcement, spent less time on that bastard child of Animal Crossing and been a bit smarter with HOW they showed of Metroid Prime Federation Force, it would've been a fairly solid E3. That and they should've closed with just a tiny snippet of Zelda...Even if it was just a quick clip of Link running through a field on his horse, something to wet people's lips and get them excited. 10 seconds would've done.

fanboysmackdown3661d ago

Looks like a PS2 title......yuch.

Venomousfatman3660d ago

Definitely not at all. You may want to go back and watch the videos again.

Munnkyman3661d ago

Yeah they went back to basics by using the 64 engine lol. I really hope they figure people want an all out star fox

It's a good ponder. Nintendo would be stupid to not do it. The more titles and first party line up released on the Switch 2 the more enticed the customer will be.

Star Fox Zero, Was it Really That Bad?

Has time been kind to Star Fox Zero? Does the game have any redeeming qualities that are worthy of revisiting? Should it be considered for a port to the Switch? Was it really that bad?

Haven't played it since it came out, but I really enjoyed it. Can't tell if that's just nostalgia-tinted glasses, or if I actually consider it a good game though lol.

Vits1337d ago

It's a mediocre game that reuses ideas, scenarios, characters and moments from previous ones. Paired with one of the worst control methods that I had the displeasure of using.

CptDville1335d ago

Those controls. Boring and frustrating at the same time. Only with co-op they were bearable, but co-op was restricted to finished levels.

SeTTriP1335d ago

Yes couldn't finish it it was so boring.

MissAubrey1335d ago

controls made me stop playing also what good is a 65inch tv when you have to look at a tiny Wiiu tablet.. same with kirby & the rainbow curse..

Einhander19711335d ago

No it was great, just the control scheme spoilt things really. The wii u screen was not needed for it really

Platinum wants to bring Star Fox Zero to Switch

But any potential design changes would be up to Nintendo if it happens.

I’d rather Star Fox Assault be brought to Switch with online multiplayer instead

Teflon021385d ago

Finally, someone who knows about Assault. Best Star Fox Multi-player imo.

Neonridr1385d ago

or a Star Fox 64 remaster instead.

deadfrag1385d ago

Platinum Games wants to many things but sadly it does not show nothing new for years! They try to jump on all offers but end finishing none!

whitbyfox1385d ago

1: Get rid of the motion controls.

2: Bring us Okami 3.

Good-Smurf1385d ago (Edited 1385d ago )

I rather have them show more of Bayonetta 3 first before they talking about any new project.
This reeks Inafune's funding for Red Ash and Mighty No.9 animated series, both never materialized.
