looks good for arcade indeed, but if it gets a console port i am not sure this is the actual standard. DOA looks nice on PS4 and that's a cross gen game.

As an old fan of the franchise, I'm excited and worried at the same time. I mean gameplay wise I am not sure these new features are fun.. but I havent played it so idk

Looking really Good, also thank goodness for youtube 60fps

Athlon3479d ago

It looks ok but could be better. I mean; it doesn't seem to look like a big step over the character models from the last game. There's not a whole lot going on in the environments. You'd think they could place more polygons in the character models. I guess I was hoping to be blown away with their use of the Unreal 4 engine. I'll pick it up anyway.

Outdated footage. This was an Alpha test. Not many people will be aware of this, which is a problem. https://twitter.com/Harada_...

Agreed, it doesn't look like a big step over the character models from the last game.

I want more atmospherics effects. Smoke, shadows, etc.

kowan3479d ago

that's because this is just a test version. Everything is just a prototype for the game. Models, characters, costumes, the new fighting mechanics are all temporary and may or may not be included in the game. This isn't even the arcade version. This is a test version that they're having people play on specific dates only to gather info for the game.

@kowan

Agreed, I know this is just an early build of the game. But I have notice most fighting games don't have enough atmospherics effects. That include last gen fighting games.

I don't want average looking atmospherics effects. I want deep shadows on multiple levels, smoke effect like never before, etc.
Hopefully, the final build of the game would have the atmospherics effects I speak of implemented in Tekken 7.

@jhoward585

Yea, man! Imagine punching someone through smoke and have the smoke effected? Even light beams through smoke that get disturbed and just have dust effects when punching? Would add sooo much more. At this point from what I see in the video, sometimes there's hardly cast shadows...
Been a fan since Tekken 1 but this looks a bit better than Tekken 6. Might not be enough for me to pick up. I've only skipped Tekken 4 in the franchise.

I want hard punches delivered! I remember when Tekken 3 came out, no videogame delivered a punch like Tekken. You could feel it. But now its just more of the same so its getting old. Last of Us did a good job with brutal impacts, I think Tekken can step that up again.

A strong case for legal murder. Activist lives don't matter.

'Just Stop Oil' whilst also disrupting commuting, vandalising other people property and just generally being dicks.

they remind me of those idiots who glue themselves on streets haha.

I never understood the logic of that form of protest. If anything, it increases fossil fuel consumption by forcing a lot of vehicles to idle until the road is no longer blocked. I’m all for protesting a cause one believes in, but I would think people would want their form of protest to at least make sense.

gold_drake218d ago

yeh, its quite dangerous too, cause u never know if anyone needs medical attention or not.
