During Sony’s pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference which is currently being held in Japan a video message was featured starring acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro as he talked about Silent Hill‘s teaser demo P.T.
P.T. may never be coming back in any official capacity, but fans of PlayStation game Dreams might be in luck this spooky season.
I have to emphasize that this is an extremly well made remake, it's the full game with all the content and features plus more. Visuals and sound is very close to the original, this version was recently published. I know there's a lot of predjudice against Dreams, which is a shame and not really deserved, the tool is much more capable than many think.
TNS: “Nightmare fuel to say the least, check out the 10 most terrifying Silent Hill monsters, and what they symbolize.”
The sirens are sounding again, beckoning you back to the foggy ghost town as we rank all the Silent Hill games, from the chilling classics to the misguided missteps.
I mostly disagree with Downpour's position. Yeah, the game is not amazing by any stretch of the imagination but is much better than the HD Collection and Homecoming. The main issue is the performance, but that was mitigated by the patches, especially on the PS3. Personally, I put it a little behind Origins and The Room.
Having Restless Dreams as a different entry from Silent Hill 2 is also a choice.
silent hill 2 is definitely the best one out of those.
for me personally, the whole ritual/cult stuff was always so weird to me in all the other games.
No disrespect but I put SH2 over 1. 1 is fantastic, but 2 took it all up a level.
What I and others would actually like to know is if Silent Hills will be a Sony exclusive or will it be multi-platform? I'm not interested in theories or guesses because I have my own "theory," - (Since the demo wasn't released on any other playform, and there hasn't been any news of the game being made for any other platform, I can only assume that Sony is in talks with Konami working out an exclusive deal. If it winds up being a Sony exclusive, it will be a major addition to the PS4 library. Definite system seller if it is exclusive.)
I'm wondering if this is that game "insane" that was mentioned about 2-3 years ago at E3
Its gonna be beautiful . P.T story was interesting and very mysterious so i expect this to be really good .
Also, lets not forget that Kojima is a Sony fanboy. I know that doesn't necessarily mean it won't be on Xbox One, considering Metal Gear games have been released on other systems in the past, including MGS Ground Zeroes and MGS5.
But its still worth mentioning that if Kojima had his way, I'm willing to bet it would be PS4 exclusive.
I'm indifferent. I think making a game exclusive is a bad idea, almost anytime its done. All ot does is lowers sales for a game that could have sold many more copies if it was on more than one system. Although I'm sure Sony and Microsoft pay these companies a lot to make them exclusives anyway, so the companies aren't exactly hurting from it.
The only people that are effected by it are the gamers that just so happened to buy the system the game won't be on.
My big question is whether or not Silent Hills will be 3rd person or first person perspective.
I'm leaning toward 1st person, simply because I find it hard to believe that they would release a playable teaser and NOT make the game the same way. What is the point of the playable teaser if it isn't showing what the final product will be like?
"Hey everyone! Play this teaser of the Silent Hills game we're coming out with! The game won't be anything like this and it will even be a different genre, but play this pointless teaser that we spent all this time on!"
What sense would that make? What exactly would the playable teaser be for if it isn't showing off the game?
