Skyrim Modded Looks Mind-Blowing - Gionight, Unreal & Other Modders Show Their Incredible Skills

DSOGaming writes: "We are pretty sure that a lot of you got disappointed after witnessing the downgraded visuals of Watch_Dogs. Well, if ENBSeries creator decides to support Ubisoft’s open world title, you’ll be in for a treat. I mean, if Skyrim can look THIS good, imagine what the modded version of Watch_Dogs will look like (provided that users find a way to mod it)."

Wow that looks nice!
My PC wouldn't be able to handle that :p

Vegamyster4044d ago

Very few towers could actually get the game to run like this at good framerates, thankfully with Skryim they're plenty of other less demanding mods that still make the game look great.

Sethry1014044d ago (Edited 4044d ago )

I run a very highly nodded skyrim, 4k armor/weapon/charactore/foliag e textures, full ENB bla bla bla on a single 760 TF. The only thing I had to do was keep HD environmental textures or I got bad stuttering and texture popping. I game on HD screen so the lack of 4k environment is unimportant. These guys tho Im sure don't skimp on anything.

What I would still love to see but I hear is impossible to implement, is Tressfx, it would be amazing to have life like hair physics.

StoneyYoshi4044d ago

I run skyrim maxed out at 60 fps without mods and my rig isn't even that amazing. I don't see why these would be so hard.

Vegamyster4044d ago (Edited 4044d ago )

@dontbhatin

The vanilla version of Skyrim maxed out doesn't look that good lol, start adding dozens of mods to improve textures (1k/2k/4k) on trees, terrain, buildings, character models, spell effects, weapons and armor + new lighting/bloom/DOF ect and it starts to become quite taxing.

StoneyYoshi4044d ago

well goodness disagree city over here lol. well i guess that's what i deserve since i haven't touched this game in over a year so i don't really know how demanding these new ones are. well thanks for your response on explaining it i guess.

DSOGaming, of course. Why am I not surprised that they have nothing to contribute but more Skyrim graphics mods.

Eiffel4044d ago

DragonKnight, of course. Why am I not surprised that he has nothing to contribute but to whine about Skyrim graphic mods again.

DragonKnight4044d ago

Eiffel, of course. Why am I not surprised that he makes a stupid comment eluding to someone popping into multiple "articles" on the same topic when in reality said user has done it only once before.

Eiffel4044d ago

DragonKnight, of course. Why am I not surprised that he understands stupid when he misunderstands "again" as multiples and not a single act that would warrant this as the second time he complained about something that shouldn't concern him anyway.

DragonKnight4044d ago

Eiffel, of course. Why am I not surprised that he doesn't understand what the word "eludes" to and is as literal as a baseball bat to the face and believes he is the judge for "articles" people should or should not comment on.

Eiffel4044d ago (Edited 4044d ago )

(breaking chain, was getting repetitive)

Funny you say that considering you seem to think you speak for everyone.

http://i.imgur.com/qVmDfjd....

Protip: How about, and this is a suggestion so you don't find reason to whine about this too. If you don't like seeing an article in the news feed that clearly doesn't interest you, how about you save face from looking stupid once again and not comment on it, and simply ignore. Despite what your brain may tell you there are people that care to see these types of articles.

midnight_234044d ago (Edited 4044d ago )

Dragonknight and Enfield, of course. Why am I not surprised that they never seem to know why they're not surprised.... WHY?!

DragonKnight4043d ago

@Eiffel: Even better protip: Going into comment histories way back to take screenshots (assuming you don't take screenshots of everyone's comments) makes you look like a creeper and is generally something you might want to avoid.

Also, you cut it off but I didn't even start the Demon's Souls discussion and merely answered a question as to why it was brought up. But it figures you'd leave that little bit out since it dismantles your argument. I have more I could say, but it's too early in the morning to care about making you look more foolish. Good day.

Eiffel4043d ago (Edited 4043d ago )

@DragonKnight

http://n4g.com/news/1502555...

So screencapping your moronic comment makes me a creeper when I posted in the same article that prompted me to respond to you here when I stated "again". I wouldn't have mentioned it otherwise if I hadn't already known beforehand. It's called memory. Your answer to that question was your own ignorance as you've done here, and you were made an idiot just the same. Your attempt to spin this is weak. Damage control on the internet should be the last of your concerns, your closed-minded thought process should be at the top.

Qrphe4044d ago

These mods aren't even impressive compared to other mods since it focuses on character models (which are always beyond the resources of any modder to pull off).

sourav934044d ago

There were some screenshots of environments as well. Did you miss those?

Qrphe4044d ago

No, and they weren't impressive, there are far better mods out there for that.

LogicStomper4043d ago

What's wrong with Skyrim mods? I enjoy Skyrim mods.

DragonKnight4043d ago

Nothing is wrong with Skyrim mods. I'm talking about the fact that any time a DSOGaming article is submitted it's about graphical upgrade mods for Skyrim. May as well change the name of their site to reflect the only thing they talk about.

viccrack4043d ago

dragonknight . man you complain a lot about the things that didn't even matter

LogicStomper4043d ago

So it's the name of the site that's bothering you? Judging by the comments, you're the only one finding the name of this site irritating in regards to its content. I see this as more of a personal issue rather than a community issue, so writing up your problems here won't generate positive discussion (as shown above) or solve the problem.

My message? Well to sum up, It's one of those opinions you keep to yourself, like when you find someone irritating, it's better to keep it to yourself.

DragonKnight4043d ago

*sigh* No, no it's not the name of the site. I don't even know how you came up with that one.

damn been trying to use nexus mod manager but i couldn't mod skyrim . don't know what i am doing wrong :(

Sethry1014044d ago (Edited 4044d ago )

Id be happy to help out if you don't get it working. Well in about 6 hours that is as I am off to bed :).

WalterWJR4044d ago (Edited 4044d ago )

It's easier to just drop the files in manually http://www.nexusmods.com/sk...

I think they have readme files telling you where to put them.

midnight_234044d ago

Search up gopher on YouTube and look for his skyrim mod tutorials. Very in depth and I assure you, you will have mods in your skyrim soon enough!

cyclindk4044d ago (Edited 4044d ago )

Crazy that some are taking it to the point that the next FULLY FLEDGED version on consoles and even PCs (without mods) won't match what these guys are doing.

sourav934044d ago

Thing is, the mods in the screenshots mainly cater to people with beastly rigs. I play Skyrim with 40 odd mods including 4K textures, Sharpshooter's Extreme ENB (Classic), flora overhaul, 4k rock and mountain textures, etc, and I get about 45 to 60 fps on a gtx 770. My game with the mods running looks good, but nowhere close to the what's on these screenshots.

My point is, when you aim for your mod to be run only by top end rigs, then it's easy to crank the graphics up to eleven. Developers have to think about the lowest common denominator, for consoles AND PCs, since only a small percentage of PC gamers have top end rigs. But that's why we have the modding community, I guess.

FlyingFoxy4044d ago

You could say the same about PC's, but they don't make games for the lowest spec.. more like mid-high end which is reasonable and best for performance. Right now the next gen consoles are almost mid-range PC level going by cpu clock speed & the gpu's they use.

Abromb4044d ago

How much would a pc cost to run these mods?

MRMagoo1234044d ago

over 2k probably if you want to run them well lol.

Skyrim is still my favorite ES game. I’m playing through it again right now since I never finished it.

jznrpg19d ago

Morrowind is by far my favorite. But I’m getting old and played Daggerfall Morrowind and Oblivion before Skyrim

ActualWhiteMan29d ago

Yeah totally. Definitely won’t be hacking it Nintendo 🤞🏻

Fallout and Skyrim show us that talented developers make great games when you leave them alone

That judicious lack of oversight permeated everything in Bethesda's RPGs, in a positive fashion.

Christopher58d ago

I much prefer a left alone Obsidian and Larian Studios. Bethesda's formula has grown old for me.

anast56d ago

Larian hit another level with DOS:2 and then took it even further with BG3. They do high quality work.

jznrpg57d ago (Edited 57d ago )

Skyrim was a letdown compared to previous games and so was Fallout 4

Kosic56d ago

I agree, I found it an interesting game. But nowhere near worth the hype (unless you include mods)

dmonee57d ago

Skyrim blew my mind when it released. That game took me to the gaming, promisedland. Going back to it when it was updated for the PS5, it felt slightly rough around the edges, but great for its time

TheColbertinator56d ago

We should leave Obsidian alone. Bethesda on the other hand should be kept under constant psychiatric observation.

anast56d ago

Skyrim feels like the game was made in a hurry with a disorganized team.
