Dealspwn: "Player count and player balance is important for any game, but having played Titanfall and had an absolute blast, I'm not convinced that adding more players to proceedings would necessarily be a good thing. Some people will always want scale from their FPS games, and that's fine. But Titanfall has never been, and will never be that game."
In a simple and concise post on Twitter, head of Respawn Entertainment Vince Zampella responded to fan requests for a Titanfall x Helldivers 2 crossover two love heart emojis, praising the idea.
Popularized by Doom in 1993 and still making video game haters gnash their teeth today, first-person shooter games are the best thing to happen to gamers since pizza rolls. So here are 15 underrated first-person shooter games you may have missed.
Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.
Lol
All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.
XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games
I played them all, they are all good in their own way
I used to be obsessed with FPS games
Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."
they should have released a trailer then told us this info it would have been easier to take and seems like respawn is pretty much avoiding the resolution questions. seems like there is more to be disappointed at than 6 vs 6 cap
I must admit that I was disappointed at first - but since there'll be AI troopers in some missions and matches are actually story-based, I'm definitely willing to give Titanfall the benefit of the doubt. This has been in development for years, so there'll be a good gameplay reason for the limit.
PC mod support can't come soon enough. Go on, EA, do it.
No, not the end of the world. But it does diminish my interest in the game quite a bit. I was expecting much bigger battles.
Oh, and maniacmeyhem, before you start yapping "you were never gonna get this game, anyway, blah blah blah," you should probably take a look at my comment history regarding this game. I've wanted to play it since the reveal, XB1 or not.
Edit: "I was expecting much bigger battles."
I thought this would be combat on a larger scale. A titan or two duking it out over here, while others take on squads on foot, while groups of soldiers engage each other in a firefight. I was hoping for some of the tactical gameplay you see in larger games like Battlefield and Killzone, but with giant mechs, which I love. Something like a realtime Front Mission.
I haven't said, even in the slightest, that the game would be bad. But it's not what I was hoping it would be; why the hell WOULDN'T my interest be diminished? If you saw the ingredients for spaghetti on the counter and got excited because you really love spaghetti, only to have chili be made for dinner instead, would you be just as excited?
Sorry, but I don't have to play a game to know it's not for me. Horror games are just not my thing; no need to play every single one to get that. Dead Rising isn't to my liking. I'm not big on God of War. I have a pretty damn good grasp on what I do and don't like, so given enough info, I don't necessarily need hands-on time to decide.
That said, you've gone over the edge, claiming I've said something about good and bad ideas, and there being problems with the number of players. Maybe the game turns out to be just fine, but I explained MY PERSONAL ISSUE with the game pretty clearly.
I EXPECTED BIGGER BATTLES.
It's amazing how people can't even be disappointed anymore.
I think the size of the mechs might have something to do with it being 6v6 imagine having 30 mechs at once ......any computer will melt lol
