The year 2013 will sure go down in Nintendo history as marking the Year of Luigi, starting with the wonderful Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon. In the end, the 12 to 15 hours that the main story will last you are cute, incredibly fun, and allow Luigi’s personality to thoroughly shine. However, the game is inevitably held back from its awkward mission design and lack of meaningful incentives (or even purpose) for hunting treasure. Many will put the game down after one play-through, but for those who are inclined the new mission rating system and online Scarescraper mode will provide further enjoyment to be had. However, if you at all a Luigi fan, I strongly urge you to get this now to enjoy his personality alone.
Nintendo has used March 10 (aka MAR10 Day) to make a number of Mario related announcements, including an update on Super Mario Bros Movie 2.
After decades of squashing Goombas and travelling through pipes, it's time someone stood up for the underdog brother, Luigi.
"As I write this, I reminisce about every October where I plugged in my old Gamecube, popped open my Luigi’s Mansion case, and put in the game while starting a new playthrough. But this article isn’t about the original game, it’s about the newly announced game, Luigi’s Mansion 3."
Regarding Coop play, the reason why the second Luigi is this green mass is likely due to the fact that it's not native co-op on the system. That is, you are using two separate 3DS's to communicate. Having an untextured set of polygons reduces streaming load and allows the game to run smoother, I'd assume, while still keeping the perspective of the secondary player intact.
If they did bring it to Switch I'd imagine the second player would be another character since it'd likely be native co-op.
Also, a 15 hour playthrough on the original Luigi's Mansion? That game took me like 6 hours... I hope he means Dark Moon.
I’d laugh and genuinely find this game even more appealing if Waluigi actually did appear in it as an antagonist jealous of Luigi’s fortune.
Most of these, if not all five, feel like a given.. at least in my opinion. Seriously though, I have no expectations, I just wanted it to exist, so I'm absolutely fine.
