what this means legaly speaking, is that if a user has a dispute against Nintendo, a neutral Thirdi party will be brought in to evaluate, instead of going to court.

A judge should force Nintendo or any other companies that if people want to file a class-action lawsuits they can do so. This is why I always feel that when companies try to fuck over it's customers, I want those people involed who call the shot to be removed from this world. I will never change my stance on this.

I was going to buy a Switch 2 but I’ve had time to rethink that decision. I think this will be the first console I haven’t bought in decades.

That’s not the reason. I’m just not impressed at all with Switch 2 and if the rumors of a potential price increase due to tariffs are true I’m definitely not getting one. My 13 year old son doesn’t even want one and that’s the target demographic.

The new PlayStation Network Terms of Service seems aimed at preventing class action lawsuits from occurring in the future. The TOS specifically says that by agreeing to it, you agree to settle any legal disputes with Sony individually, instead of as a class action.

Microsoft:

Updated user agreement waives users' right to file class action litigation. Following in Sony's footsteps, Microsoft has updated their Xbox Live Terms of Service to include a new clause that forces users to relinquish their right to file or engage in a class-action lawsuit under any circumstance.
