Game Informer - Hello, my name is Mike, and I don't really enjoy Grand Theft Auto. I've tried. I promise that I've tried. I played all the way through GTA III. Sure, I had to use cheat codes because of the checkpoint problems, but I saw the end.
I played through about half of Vice City, but after I realized that the wobbly cars and weird targeting of the clumsy on-foot combat weren't getting better, I stopped. I even owned a copy of San Andreas at launch and never unwrapped it because I just wasn't interested.
"Grand Theft Auto" publisher Take-Two Interactive is working on an "significant" cost reduction plan following mixed earnings results for its October-December 2023 quarter

PC Gamer writes: "Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming, but don't hold your breath waiting for a Grand Theft Auto Hollywood blockbuster."
Imagine being so rich that another Billion is just not worth the hassle... LoL :) -Sorry just can't relate...
isnt he also the guy that said that games are way too cheap? haha.
i mean i agree with him saying the gta games make them bank ha.
Which is fine, I would much rather all gaming companies just focus on making good games.

*Dies*
Maybe, just maybe San Andreas could have changed your opinion.........it was THAT good.
no it is not okay for you to not like gta, why because if you say one negative thing then the fanboys will start a lynch mob.
Let me tell you that there are some people in fact who tell me I'm not a gamer for not liking GTA. I liked Red Dead Redemption like a lot, but GTA is just hard to get into for people like me. I just don't get the whole point of the entire series to be quite honest.
I've been a gamer since Pong, have well over two hundred games spanning multiple consoles (and I'm not counting games I've played and sold or traded), play all genres of games, spend many hours a week...
and I have never bought or played a GTA game and really have no interest to do so.
Sorry, don't hate.
Hahaha
"The funny thing is that I understand the appeal. The tongue-in-cheek, wry approach to society is engaging. The stories are filled with memorable characters."
No, you don't understand the appeal. GTA fans don't generally buy the games for social commentary and the innuendo.
It's an open-world masterpiece, setting the bar high from a creative/technical perspective. It is arguably one of the few series that continue to push the industry towards innovation. GTA III basically spawned a whole genre, it applied reality to the context of what an open-world game could be.
If you don't like it, that's perfectly fine. You are totally entitled to your opinions! Even if they are wrong. ;o)
