Ripten's Xbox 360 and PS3 Review: Army of Two

Ripten writes: "Apropos of its title, Army of Two is a tale of two games. One is a fantastic looking, conceptually cool cooperative shooter that seems primed to pick up the slack of the dearth of quality co-op games in the wake of Gears of War. Its counterpart, on the other hand, is a depressingly repetitive, aggressively stupid, and extremely short game that wastes a ton of great potential.

Both of these games exist in one box, and while playing Army of Two, you never quite know which one is going to rear its head at any given moment. There is a great game in Army of Two. Unfortunately, it's frequently smothered by a mediocre one.

Army of Two puts you in the heavily armored suits of Rios and Salem, a couple of scenery-chewing badasses who left the military to pursue careers in the private military sector. Over the course of a decade, we follow this twosome through a variety of military conflicts, from Somalia to Iraq and on to future wars we all probably hope will never break out."

Don't hand me that crap about meta scoring, this Game is well past that point. I like the game its all I play right now, but give it a rest if you having seen enough reviews by now you never going to get it.

I was watching this game on a Sony Bravia XBR4 and my first reaction was this must be a PS2 game. The game is awful and I would refuse to pay $60 for PS2 graphics and p*ss poor frame rate.

Dude, I own a 52" Sony Bravia XBR4, and I own Army of Two...This game doesn't look bad at all.

You obviously are fishing for some argument, I mean come on, ps2 graphics. You own one of the if not best TV out there, and one of the best looking games ever, so I'm wondering whats wrong with this picture, my guess is you.

I played this game and I'd give it 8.5/10. The only problem is its length. But, COD4 did not have more play hours. This is a good game. I think this game and TimeShift are way underrated. I'd give TimeShift a 9.0, I thought its better than COD4, but thats just my opinion.

I played this game at my friend´s. Its not bad, but I expected a better game.

Xbox Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale Discounts – 7th-13th July 2020

Neil writes: "With the delay of many AAA titles, and the move into the summer period, it is still a little quiet on the new games front. The latest one - that working between the 7th-13th July 2020 - offers plenty of great discounts on numerous Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles."
