I really wish fighting games would stop releasing "ultimate versions" soon after the first iteration. I felt like I just spent $60 on DOA5, and now they've got my favorite VF character, so I'm compelled to get the new one.

By now, you should have known better and just waited a while, either for a big price-drop, or a 'complete' release.

Not just because your wallet will prefer it, but also so you don't actually support developers who release incomplete games with the sole intention to nickel-and-dime you 5 seconds after release.

Yes, I messed up. I usually buy fighting games when they drop to $30 or half of whatever they were, but VF just happens to be my favorite so when DOA5 was on an amazon gold box deal for $30, I bought it and spent an embarrassing amount on the totally useless DLC.

To me, that was worth it cuz I love this game. But the problem is that now there's a new "version" which is basically the same as the old version but with a few new characters. Feels like I"m paying double for something i basically already own.

I fucking loved Ein in DoA 2. He was my favorite char and I constantly raped my brothers ass with him, haha.
