Yarn Yoshi Doesn’t Look Like the Sequel that Yoshi Fans Want

What were Yoshi fans looking for exactly? I don't think a sequel to Yoshi's cookie would have pleased anyone. As long as this new game doesn't screw with what makes a Yoshi game great, then I'll be happy.

Helloooooooooooooooo Yoshi's Island sequel

It already had a nice pastel/crayon art style and it was a challenging game. I don't dislike this game but it's definitely not what I wanted.

This isn't one of those games they've built around yoshi. It's like SMB2 and Kirby's Epic Yarn where they had a game idea and forced a beloved character into it to sell the game. Nothing wrong with that but it is what it is. It's not for me but a new Nin sidescroller is always in fashion.

A real sequel would be a sequel to Yoshi's Island. The graphics were great, it had a real story for Yoshi, AND it wasn't incredibly easy. Actually, it was pretty hard to 100% the game. Especially Extra 5. That was insane.

I'm trying to figure out what you're trying to say here.

The Wind Waker caused enough problems for Nintendo that NoA had to tell EAD to stop making TWW2 and make Twilight Princess instead.

Yeah but didn't it have so much popularity and praise for its gameplay and art style later on that Nintendo decided that it deserved an HD remake and two sequels on the DS. Anyways I rather like the art style of the new yoshi game, and you won't see the type of immediate backlash you did for windwaker, because it's not straying too far from the previous games, I mean come on the Yoshi games were always cute and looked kidfriendly.
