1up.com: Dyad had more than its share of unfair competition; it launched on PSN around the same time as hype heavy Sound Shapes, and without music industry heavyweights like Beck and Deadmau5 attached to its name. But despite their shared roots in the rhythm genre, these two games couldn't differ more; Sound Shapes takes the form of a meticulously crafted platformer, while much of Dyad can best be described as "pure chaos" -- at least to the uninitiated.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I wasn't completely won over by Dyad from Right Square Bracket Left Square Bracket. Don't get me wrong — I totally appreciate that the developer took a risk and attempted to make something vastly different from a lot of what's out there. That said, it was hard for me to fully enjoy what Dyad had to offer because I simply didn't think it was deep or rewarding enough.
