CheatCC writes - It's that time of year again. The change in seasons brings with it experiences old and new. The leaves are turning, children are returning to school, and this year's newest offerings from our favorite game publishers are hitting the shelves. Electronic Arts has joined the fray by updating their latest football sim, FIFA 13, and we tested it out.
Games Asylum: "Outdated football games are a common sight when scouring jumble sales, car boots and charity shops for bargain price video games. Entire shelves filled with decade-old FIFA and PES games spread across a dozen formats. Often they end up in bargain bins, sitting alongside unwanted celebrity fitness DVDs and seemingly random TV show box sets. But here’s the thing. Not all football games gathering dust in the likes of Oxfam are in fact worthless."
Just who is buying FIFA 13 on Wii U? We may never know, but there are more people buying that than there are Bayonetta 2 and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric.
Sonic Boom is riding off the popularity of the TV show; it's a bad game.
And as for FIFA?
Well, guess that goes to show that there's a lot of older gamers on Wii U that wanted FIFA, then; sports games generally do out-sell action games, and Platinum isn't known for large sales in the first place.
I'm not worried for Bayonetta. It'll hit that 1M mark by the middle of next year, surely, at its current pace.
