PSU: Wardevil gets a new look - First image

My manager at BABEL GAMES fainted after seeing the new footage of War Devil in LOndon

He was saying that it looks like an UPGRADED Mass Effect but is extremely fast paced.

GUYS i will be getting a copy of WARDEVIL in MARCH,2008

as soon as i get it i will post some gameplay videos HERE AT N4G

although i am not supposed to do this but seeing my BOSS's excitement i think WARDEVIL might turn out to be ONE OF THE BIGGEST GAMES of 2008.

The version that my BOSS saw ran at 1080p @ 60fps without ANY LAG

What is it with these British(Ninja Theory & Digi-guys) with their Cine graphics.

Yup, Digi will deliver on gameplay, I have no doubt now.

But here's hoping that Digi have learned completely from others that went before them -in particular Ninja Theory - to ensure that the gameplay is faultless, AI challenging, is long and has significant replay value(ie MP, Coop, online).

whether sony ends up purchasing them or not this will stay exclusive cus sony already paid for the game and i still honestly dnt believe 360 can achieve 1080p at 60fps. Not sure when this game is coming out but i like the new look better the hair was gay. Just another ps3 game scheduled for 2008 could slip to 2009 who knows but jst one of those exclusives sitting there. Sometimes i stare at my 360 and wonder why are you still here. Whatever it is - that image has me excited about this game. I'm a big sci-fi fan, and I'm always looking for new and interesting sci-fi ideas in gaming, and this shot has me craving more. I haven't seen or played anything in this "series" previous, but here's hoping for great things.

Cool find and image. I remember seeing a tech demo of this long ago when first tech demos of Projet Offset were out and thought these two games look beyond great and next-gen.

Love the new look of main character. Didn't like the old design. It's exact opposite of Dark Sector where the character had maks and armor at first but devs later removed the mask and made him more human.

The game looks amazing, I just hope their not only focusing on the graphic and that they will have a very solid game play as well. I've notice that too many developers are not putting enough time into the game play for their game's and that's hurting them a lot. Anyway I know if Sony stays on top of them and makes sure that everything is alright then the game will turn out to be a AAA title. I hope this game is released this year.

when i frist saw this in a tech demo i was pritty excited and sad at the same time as i only owned a 360 then.

Now i own a PS3, i am ubber wanting this game! Even if i have to use my whole 40gig for an install.

I hope to hear more on this at GDC.

If this is an in-engine shot then dannnggg... The rock texture looks eerily realistic. Not to mention the overall atmosphere. I really can't wait to see what this engine can really fork out on the Playstation 3 hardware.

These shoots are according to the offical site, using 100% in-game assets.

They where posted on teamxbox.com way back in August 10th 2005! When i believe this game was going to be a 360 exclusive.

This is right from WARDEVIL's website.

X360 guys assumed WRONGLY that WARDEVIL was being bult for x360 as well.

Wardevil runs at 1080P NATIVE at 60 FPS( only possible on ps3)

BTW here is the scrrenshot from WARDEVIL's official website claiming that it JUST ran on PS3

With Digis background in graphics this game should set a benchmark.

Fingers crossed that they can deliver on gameplay. I'm confident they will.

BTW: A number of the environments remind me of Halo. Looks like some developers have been learning: copy, modify, adapt, improve. Now I can only dream that Digi turns it into a shooter/Action/RPG....but not likely.

Well they released great looking screen's way back in 2005, so a while. I guess building the Engine burned up a lot of time.

Ok so this game toke my breath when I saw their last video some 5 months ago (I think) but now WTH, if the game runs smoothly like this, then Naughty Dog has allot of work to do just to compete with this.
