Mass Effect 3: Leviathan Review | EuroGamer Italy

EuroGamer Italy: "The first real DLC for the controversial Mass Effect 3 is a two hours long adventure attempting to tell the story of one of the most important creatures in the main game. The plot is definitely better than the gameplay but why now and why so late?"

"The plot is definitely better than the gameplay but why now and why so late?"

Because if they released it sooner people would accuse them of already having it in the works alongside the actual game and ask why it wasn't on the disc, which would lead to boycotts and more people angry over nothing. But we seem to have gotten that already. I've played the DLC. It's much better than a 6/10 but it's all I seem to see it getting, if not lower, because people are still sour over the ending.

Seriously the biggest complaint I hear about this DLC is "It can't take place after the ending so what's the point." and to that I say "Look at Mass Effect 2." All that DLC took place before the ending but nobody complained. There wasn't a single post-ending DLC for that game. So why are people making a big deal about it for Mass Effect 3?

I didn't like the ending much either, but that was 10 minutes out of a 30 hour game, that was near perfect (minus those last 10 minuets). The missions were fun to play and had interesting scenarios. This feels like it could have easily been a part of the campaign and people would hate it no more than the missions of Tuchanka or Rannoch.

Sorry this comment is so long but I just don't understand what people want from this series. You didn't like 10 minutes of a 30 hour game so the whole thing is dead to you?

The thing is that a lot of people hated it for more than the ending.

And on the ME2 DLC, sure you could play them before the sucide mission, but Arrival is "made" for being played as the last thing you do in the game. The same goes for LotSB

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

They lost too much talent.

He was one of my least favorite characters. I wish they would have done the Proths different.
