raiden character render? Im kind of confused.

Parappa4280d ago

They're just trying to point out that it's the crappy Rising version of Raiden and not MGS2 or MGS4 Raiden.

smashcrashbash4280d ago

Yeah I am sure that is what they are trying to say. If you must troll at least make some attempt to be clever. That is what I miss about the gen before this. At least when people trolled it was with cleverness instead of just writing the first dumb thing that pops into your mind.

ChronoJoe4279d ago

I don't see why people hate Rising Raiden. Platinum games are a good studio, with just as much prestige as Konami's own works within their own genres. (ie DMC, Bayonetta are as much to hack and slash action as Snake is to stealth) therefore, considering Kojima clearly wanted action hack and slash game / direction for Raiden, the character and game couldn't be in better hands.

yeahokchief4280d ago

i'd have preferred solid snake.

JKelloggs4280d ago

Who says that Solid Snake might not be in it? No one has said the roster is complete yet

360ICE4280d ago

I certainly hope he is, but if you look at Raiden's specials he's got the cardboard boxes and everything. That seems like something they'd save for snake if he indeed is in the game.

Reverent4279d ago

People seem to completely forget that Eric Laden (Cole Macgrath's voice actor) totally gave away that he had been working on a project (As Cole) alongside Nolan North (Nathan Drake) and David Hayter (Solid Snake). For the love of God, Snake WILL be in this game. I'm 100% sure of it.

Though PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale is a bit of a cult classic, it could have been a big hit if it launched in 2022 instead of 2012.

It wouldn't have mattered, Sony would've rushed it out and left it to die. More so now than before with their focus now being on SP narrative driven AAA games.

CrimsonWing69546d ago

Oh, but somehow Smash Bros. 64 made it work?

It just couldn’t compete with Smash Bros. and it wasn’t a free-to-play game like Multiversus.

PapaBop546d ago

I think it released at the right time. It's just after the success of Smash and Multiversus, it's finally time for a sequel.

spoonard546d ago

I'd be all in on a remake or remaster of the original. I enjoyed it because I didn't sit there and compare every aspect to SSB. I just enjoyed it as it was.

Magatsuhi546d ago

Sony should make part 2 and dump a good amount of money on it. Scrap super only kills and it's bound to succeed.

Father__Merrin546d ago

Yes the power kills spoilt it completely WTH was they thinking you should have hp bar that's it

God of War: Ragnarok Weirdly Makes PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Canon

God of War: Ragnarok has plenty of fun references to PlayStation history, but now fans have discovered a conversation that calls back to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale — the crossover fighting game released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Nyxus553d ago

I wouldn't say canon. More like an easter egg.

Deathdeliverer553d ago

That’s interesting. It actually does make it canon lol. He mentioned it in a mainline game. I’d say that’s pretty cool.
