Dead Space 3: four reasons it isn't a generic shooter knock-off

I want to play DEAD SPACE. This is no longer Dead Space. Just some bullshit created to cater to the majority who can't/couldn't even beat the first 2 games on the hardest difficulty.

I am infuriated and am now putting off pre-ordering it for another game.

gonna buy this game, yes even with a cover system it won't matter because the core emcanics are the same, just added cover system. Just hope they don't go to much into action and keep it like dead space 2 atleast.

It's apparently a different kind of cover system to the Gears one - you go into a context-sensitive crouch when you're near something sturdy, or something like that.

I highly doubt it. Come on guys, did you really expect anything different with a game being published by EA? They'll move closer and closer to the most possible streamlined version of the original. That's the trend with every single game that is published by EA -_-

core mechanics? I don't remember having to use cover in Dead Space 1 or 2. I also don't remember having a buddy with me while I was walking on the Ishimura or the Sprawl.

I also don't remember having a million bullets on my first play troughs.

So core mechanics being the same...really?

The coop isn't forced and can still be played as a sp game. When playing in coop it shows different cutscenes and convos between the partners. When you play in sp you don't get any of that and the cutscenes are altered.
You now fight against Unitologists who have guns (this is why the cover is added) and necromorphs just don't attack you but will also attack Unitologists.

Really people need to read up on the previews before judging it by the E3 trailer. The frozen planet your own is more opened up compared to the Sprawl. You can find side paths that can lead to secondary missions or other clues about whats going on. Its being made by Visceral Games, they didn't pass this off to another EA dev team.

Keep in mind that you don't have a buddy with you when playing alone, he is not there at all. And you can turn of the drop in co op.

The only ones i can think of that would be close is lostplanet and uncharted with abit of gears.

But seriously no other game has weaps and those evil creatures after you, resevil is dead in the water.

Uncharted in space with creatures sounds good to me.

Don't try and justify the unneccesary features which has ruined what this game was all about. Compare the first game which made people fall in love with the franchise with the third and you'll see why the third one is just another generic third person shooter knock-off

I'm not going to buy it, going to wait untill it's in the bargain bin, that will teach EA or Visceral Games for ruining what could of been a great survival horror franchise...a franchise that could of been the new RE since Capcom sold out ages ago

Bingo. Do not buy brand new or full price chiefs. They literally ruined dead space with a few tiny changes. Cover, universal ammo, and human enemies. Changed the entire formula. And am I the only one who would rather they try and make the multiplayer better from ds2 than add coop. I know everyone hated it, but there was potential if u actually played it more than once "_" and the single player was awesome so don't say it ruined ds2's campaign :(
