You can’t have enough events. Everyone likes the thrill of those limited-time events and the prospect of exclusive rewards. We recently got a bunch of different events and contests for Zenless Zone Zero. There is the “First-Class Customer Service”, the TikTok short video contest, Qingyi’s Mindspace, and the Ethereal Brawl Discord-only event. And now, Hoyo has announced a Summer Festival event called “Camellia Golden Week”.
Camellia Golden Week Is Right Around the Corner
The Camellia Golden Week is the Summer Festival in ZZZ. It starts on August 21 and lasts until September 23. That’s a lot more than a week. Per the official announcement, the event is “divided into multiple phases that will be unlocked over time. New story commissions and Hollow areas will be unlocked when the time of the event reaches the next phase and Proxies have completed the current phase of the storyline commission.
When the breach progress for all 4 Storage Areas in Hollow C41 reaches 100%, the gate to the central warehouse will open. As the event progresses, Proxies can head to Coff Cafe to enjoy exclusive event-limited coffee. Each Proxy can try up to 3 cups during the event.” Coffee is usually limited to once per day, so this will be a significant boost.
How to Enter the Summer Festival and What Are the Rewards?
Now comes the harder part. To participate in the event, you must have completed the main quest, all the way up to the Version 1.1 content. In other words: “During the Camellia Golden Week event, complete Main Story Chapter 3 “The Midnight Pursuit” to gain access to the Golden Week commissions. Completing the Golden Week commission “Prepare for the Gold Rush” will give Proxies access to Hollow C41.”
As for the rewards, Hoyo had this to say: “By participating in and completing different story commissions and Hollow explorations, Proxies can obtain the event-limited A-rank W-Engine “Gilded Blossom”. Keep collecting supply boxes and increasing Storage Area breach progress to obtain Hamster Cage Pass, Polychromes and other upgrade materials.” We’re all about Hamster Cage Passes.
The sheer number of consecutive events for ZZZ is staggering. There is something for everyone, and the “Camellia Golden Week” is for those die-hard fans who have already done almost everything there is to do in the game. And let’s not forget the fact that the event lasts for a whole month. Truly, Hoyo is not mucking about.
