WWE 2K25 was recently announced, giving fans a glimpse into the next iteration. The new game can currently be wish-listed only and is set for release on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. While no official release date, price, or even a trailer is available yet, there is going to be a massive announcement on the 28th of January. Visual Concepts claims this will be a game changer, so we cannot wait to see what is in store later this month.
WWE 2K25 release date prediction
A release date will likely be made official during the January 28th announcement but we can look back at previous launches to get some idea of when it is likely out. Releases tend to follow a similar pattern year after year, with 2K22, 2K23, and 2K24 all launching in the first half of March on a Friday. With a January announcement imminent, we are predicting WWE 2K25 will hit shelves on Friday the 14th of March, 2025.
WWE 2K25 pre order expectations
Another big part of the upcoming announcement this month will be pre order details. We will find out about possible pre order bonuses, different editions, and early access on the day.
WWE 2K24 had three different editions, Standard, Deluxe, and a special “Forty Years of Wrestlemania” edition. The standard cost $69.99 at launch, with the deluxe and special editions costing $99.99 and $119.99 respectively.
Most of the differences from the standard were cosmetic, however, there were three days of early access up for grabs in the Deluxe and Wrestlemania editions.
WWE 2K25 cover star & roster
WWE more or less confirmed the cover star athlete with its 2K25 tweet. Roman Reigns after his destruction of Solo Sikoa will likely be the cover star for at least one of the editions. The franchise recently kicking off on Netflix saw Reigns walking the back halls with Paul Heyman. Reigns also teased his next appearance would feature the day before the special announcement.
As the game’s placeholder pages went live on various platforms we saw a glimpse of the confirmed roster so far.
- Bayley
- CM Punk
- Cody Rhodes
- Damian Priest
- Liv Morgan
WWE 2K25 platforms & crossplay info
WWE 2K25 is confirmed for PS5, PS4 Pro, Xbox Series X, Series S, and PC (Steam). It is unclear whether or not it will be available for the older PS4 and Xbox One consoles. In terms of crossplay there is nothing confirmed, however, 2K24 did not support this feature. Crossplay is a standout request from many gamers across many different games, so we hope to see it included for the next iteration.
