“Take Note, Arrowhead!” Dedicated Helldivers 2 Player Shares an Awesome Concept for an Indoor Mission

It’s been an uneventful couple of weeks for Helldivers. The developers are on their well-deserved holiday break, so nothing big happened. Well, except for the whole 1984 surveillance thing, but that was for the best, we’re sure. As you know, having more free time usually gives the players a chance to enjoy some leaks, and to show off their own creativity. One talented Helldivers 2 player suggested a concept for an indoor mission, and the entire community realized how badly they wanted it to come to life.

One Helldivers 2 Player Came Up With an Indoor Mission Concept

One very creative Helldiver, UgsyIsMyUsername, shared their idea for an indoor mission with their fellow divers. This player drew all the panels and gave intricate details about this mission.

The OP noted: “MISSION TURN COMMAND FORTS USELESS. Steal the High Command data in the Command Forts and explode it from the inside. The indoor mission consists of an objective where you will have to attack and destroy a huge fort. To achieve this you must do it from within. You can open the fort by shooting the generators of the front gate or calling in a hellbomb. The building must be large enough to not feel restricted in its movement, especially when the whole team enters at the same time”.

Helldivers 2 players would be able to run into a building.

This player continued: “The fort would be dedicated only to high commands of the Automatons justifying a ban on entry to outside bots. This doesn’t mean that the fort will not be protected from the inside. There would be fabricators releasing elite troopers. The thick walls will disable stratagems. To regain access to them, you will need to open the ceiling dropship arrival hatch via a terminal. On the sides of the arrival room are two storage rooms. There you will find samples under breakable glass as well as a terminal giving you the 2 unique keys that can open the door of the commanding room”.

The Final Stages of the Indoor Mission

The OP explained what would happen next. They noted: “Once the two keys are inserted into the door terminals, you will be able to begin the destruction process. But firstly, you will have to face the elite devastator guarding the room. Once the devastator is defeated, you will be free to call 2 plastic hellbombs through the ceiling hatch to stick to the 2 main generators of the fort”.

Finally: “When both charges are placed, a 30-second countdown will begin before the explosion to allow the team enough time to safely escape the fort. You can also collect a large number of requisitions by entering the commanding terminal but if you don’t before the explosion, they’re lost”.

The OP added: “Make sure you are far enough from the fort to avoid being caught in the blast of the explosion which will be more serious than a hellbomb”. You can look at the rest of the wonderfully illustrated panels here.

Helldivers Loved the Mission Concept

Obviously, the Helldivers 2 community adored the indoor mission concept. Many players praised the OP for their creativity. Furthermore, many Helldivers suggested Arrowhead should contact the OP for some ideas. So, hopefully, the devs might consider it.

QQBearsHijacker stated: “The amount of work and polish you did for this concept is commendable Helldiver. Outstanding work! You’ve earned an additional 2.4 seconds of reflection on your next dive. For reals, the concept sounds fun and would definitely be a nice change of pace from the current mission rotation”.

Unquestionably, we loved the concept, as well. It would be quite cool to see indoor missions in Helldivers 2. However, as of the time of writing this article, there are no indications that the devs are working on a concept like this one. So, let’s hope this idea gets added to the list, alongside weapon customization and wildlife. For Liberty and Super Earth.
