In Wuthering Waves there are a lot of different activities that reward you with valuable materials. Ones just like that are Forgery Challenges. Completing them will reward you with materials needed to upgrade your weapons and level up your Resonator Skills. There are five different Forgery Challenges in the game, found in: Flaming Remnants, Misty Forest, Eroded Ruins, Moonlit Groves, and Marigold Woods. What the majority of players notice is that rewards, specifically the number of Whispering Cores, Howler Cores, and Rings, are somewhat on the lower side, and would love to see them increased.
Whispering Cores, Howler Cores, and Rings Should Have Better Drop Rates
Casual players rarely have the time to constantly do Forgery runs, as stated by XayahXiang in their Reddit post. “I’d rather play the story and events than mindlessly farm. Even with that food item the drop rate still sucks; and I can say from playing other games that these materials should never be the bottleneck to improving your character.“
The majority of players agree since everyone would like better drops on anything, especially for materials needed to upgrade your Skills and weapons. “I agree with OP… just boost the drops a bit especially at higher Union levels not everyone has the time and patience to go from one pack of mob in the open world to another until you hunt them down to extinction in your world…I used to be alright with farming in the open world but idk I guess I got burnt out a bit or just got old lol“ said flamefood21.
Another player, named OkZucchini5351 added: “At least make higher rarity materials drop. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a purple one drop on forgery (UL63). Or give us assignments/expeditions like in Hoyo games where we can farm them passively. Running around for hours killing the same trash mobs is BORING.“
We understand that games like WuWa need a bit of grind to keep the players interested. But, if your grind boils down to repetitive tasks for minimal rewards, some players may get upset and quit playing. Some tweaks would work wonders here.
