As with every RPG game worth its salt, Wuthering Waves has a crafting system. You can craft items by looking for a Crafting Table, currently only found in Uncle Wei’s Shop in Jinzhou City. And, naturally, to craft new weapons, you’ll need different types of Ore (Scarletthorn, Lampylumen, Fragipurple, and Floramber) which are found all over the world. Mining can be a bit boring in WuWa and that’s why one player discovered the quickest way to mine ore.
Hoverdroid: Shooter is Perfect for Mining
In the 1.2 update, a Hoverdroid: Shooter gadget was introduced to the game. It is a small, well, hovering droid that can shoot energy projectiles. It has no reload and no cooldown, and you can even use it on the run or while gliding. One player, named R34CTz on Reddit, shared this find and said: ”One shot destroys the ore and it doesn’t matter how far away from it you are, it still collects it for you. You can wipe out so much ore so quickly this way.”
Even though the 1.2 update is almost a month old, a lot of players are not aware of this mining method. “Wow I didn’t know, thanks for the tip” and “…this is actually something useful to know” are just some of the player comments.
Some players say that Changli is also efficient at mining, but compared to Hoverdroid: Shooter, the gadget comes out on top. “The gadget is faster, you don’t have to be near the ore to collect it so it saves a lot of running around. You can even use it while gliding.” said the OP.
Fission Junrock
Another efficient way to mine is by using the Fission Junrock Echo. This little guy has an ability that allows him to mine nearby ore. Simply summon him when you’re near an ore vein and he will smash it, resulting in some new materials in your inventory. The best part is that he will continue mining as long as there are ore veins nearby. The bad part is that his “radius” of detecting ores is not that large, ie, the veins have to be close to each other. The best way of using Fission Junrock is when you happen upon a huge cluster of ores, all bundled together.
While mining ore is not the most important aspect of Wuthering Waves, it is pretty useful to know the most efficient ways to do so, to speed up the process.
