What Is the Smallest Map in MW2?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 players often look for the smallest maps because those are the best for duels and 1v1s. Rust was once a long-time favorite because it was too small to hide or camp, so it was considered the perfect duel arena. Sadly, Rust is now part of a bigger map, so players will have to find another small area for 1v1.

Good thing the smallest map in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has been around since the beta.

What’s the smallest map in Modern Warfare 2?

The smallest map in MW2 is Mercado Las Almas. Mercado Las Almas was included in the beta for MW2, and quickly gained a reputation for being really compact. Despite not being as small as Rust, it’s pretty close and creates high-intensity gunfights.

Mercado Las Almas is a map set in a rural district in Mexico. It’s a 6v6 map, but that does not indicate how big it is because it is a tight 6v6. The few indoor areas on the map have very little breathing room, making it difficult to move around without meeting an enemy.

Compared to other maps, you are more likely to be out in the open in gunfights.

The map has great sniping spots through the windows aiming at the main alley in the center. It also features many vans and food carts for players to mount their weapons. It’s very good at giving players the intense gameplay that a smaller map should.

The next biggest map would be Farm 18, but it’s not close to how tight Mercado Las Almas is.

Tight maps are perfect for executions and finishers, so keep an eye out for the perfect opportunity! If you want more newsguides, and originals, stay on N4G Unlocked!
