Every community has a couple of bad seeds, it’s just something that has to happen. What defines a community is how it deals with those members who are disruptive and unkind. Even though there are lots of toxic players and bullies in the Valorant community, the majority of players are strictly against that type of behavior.
Valorant Community Shares How to Deal With Bullying
One player who has had an unfortunate experience recently shared their story and asked the community for advice on how to deal with players who were bullying someone in-game. What this player probably didn’t expect was the heartwarming support of their community.
InsanityVirus13 noted: “I had a particularly bad game yesterday. I got dogged on by everyone on my team. One enemy player tried to defend me, but it really hurt. Usually, I have thicker skin, but being told I suck, to quit the game, to stop playing games, etc by everyone just really got to me”.
This player added: “So how do you deal with toxic players? Are you sassy or toxic back? Do you just mute and move on? Do you ignore them and stay quiet? I’m wondering how you might deal with toxicity and hate”.
Expensive-Method4252 suggested: “Press ESC> in match > untick the toxic player > peace of mind. Or… Gang up on the toxic player with my duo > and ruin his day > peace of mind”. Ok-Quality9930 added: “If I am feeling petty that day imma troll so hard they lose their s**t and report my a**. The feeling of satisfaction is immaculate”.
Ignoring Toxic Players Might Be the Best Solution in Valorant
Now, the majority of the Valorant community didn’t support the idea that anyone should interact with toxic players. If you can ignore them, go for it, or just mute them, report them, and carry on. Some players have a slightly different approach.
One of those players, jonaaa_06, suggested that you should take a light-hearted approach. They explained: “For me, it works best to always be overly friendly, starting from the start of the round. I praise every player and cheer everyone up, no matter how badly they play. And, if I miss, I joke about it”.
If this doesn’t work, try following the advice of Educational_You3881. They stated: “I want to yell how bad he is of a person back at him. Then, I calm down and tell myself not to fall to his level cuz he is just a piece of s**t who is slightly better than me at a video game”.
Now, the best advice that we can give you is just to ignore toxic players, in Valorant or any other game. Not only will it give you a much-deserved piece of mind, but it will also annoy them extremely. Remember, you are there to enjoy yourself, not to listen to someone who insults you just because they feel like it. So, always count on your community to have your back when it comes to matters like these, it will surely offer you some advice and support.
