A recent leak from the revered ValorLeaks suggests that the next Valorant skin bundle might pay homage to none other than the Monkey King, Sun Wukong, an iconic figure in Chinese legends. The centerpiece of this possible bundle? The Ruyi Jingu Bang – a magical staff renowned for its transformative abilities.
The leaked image showcases stone pillars reaching for the skies, framing what seems to be the legendary staff in all its gilded glory. Adorned in red with gold accents, the staff’s design closely resembles descriptions from the celebrated Chinese tale “Journey to the West.” Sun Wukong, with his mischievous nature and unparalleled combat skills, is a prominent figure in the story, and his weapon of choice is the mighty staff that can change its size at the wielder’s command.
This won’t be their first rendezvous with the Monkey King for many players. Riot Games’ flagship title, League of Legends, already features a champion named Wukong, armed with a similar magical staff that elongates in battle.
The leaks don’t stop at the staff, though. Buzz suggests accompanying the melee weapon will be skins for Valorant’s favorites: the Vandal, Operator, Ghost, and Ares.
