She is finally here! Agent 26, Vyse, dropped in Valorant, after several months of teasers, theories, and leaks. As you probably know, the latest patch notes revealed that she will be released to regions in a staggered rollout. Some Valorant players have already had an opportunity to try Vyse and they offered their first impressions.
Vyse Is Finally in Valorant
On August 28 the luckiest Valorant players met Vyse for the first time. As with any other Agent so far, it will take a while for the players to get used to her and learn how to play her. Some reported instant success, while others struggled, but loved putting in the effort.
One player, dispenserG, noted: “Played 9 games today. The only loss, I had a Vyse. The player playing Vyse went 2-16. The enemy Vyse went 25-10. I’d say she is a difficult Sentinal, which is a good change of pace. She will have lots of play-making potential with good players”.
Another player, laancelot, agreed: “It seems almost every Vyse I played with so far looked like they had no idea how this game works. Her kit is a powerhouse, I’ve seen it used correctly in conjunction with Clove’s abilities and it was frightening. I don’t get how there are so many useless Vyse right now”.
Some players wholeheartedly disagreed. Apexe stated: “On the contrary, I played Vyse four times, went 4-0. It’s “new character syndrome” where people try to play her in and don’t know what they’re doing”.
Players Had Various First Impressions
Other Valorant players offered more concrete impressions of Vyse. Some players found her “incredibly hot”, while others hated her raspy voice. One player, stayathomemormon, noted: “Yeah I’m really disappointed by it. Super muffled too. I thought it was someone over the mic at first LOL”.
A Redditor, ugh_bummer, gave the most detailed analysis. This player found Vyse’s Flash strong and balanced, her Ult was slightly underwhelming, and her Wall strong but predictable. They stated: “Overall: Slightly underpowered to balanced. A good addition to the roster and is capable of changing the meta in matches when used”.
Duskspiral_Gamer confirmed: “Seems decent so far. The wall is very good if used properly and should cost more creds. Ult isn’t broken like some people say it is. As a Killjoy main, I am very excited to play her”.
Honestly, we just got Vyse and we can’t wait to try out everything that she can do and find out how to use her best. Although many players find Sentinels to be unnecessary, in our experience, they can be game-changers. So, we suggest you try Vyse out and form your own impression. Enjoy the game.
