Valorant Agent Killjoy

Riot Games Valorant is one of the top FPS games on the market, and bringing other platforms in is a great move by developers. Multiple platforms will drastically increase the game’s exposure and bring in new players. Read on and find out when is the potential release date for Valorant Mobile, along with its features.

Valorant Mobile Release Date

At this time, there is no official date for the Valorant Mobile release. Although a release is expected in “early-to-mid” 2024, there is currently no official announcement on when the game might be released. The mobile version of the game has been in development for over three years now. This shows great commitment on the part of developers, and hopefully, we will get the mobile version soon.

Difference Between PC and Mobile Versions

The main reason that Valorant Mobile takes so long to develop lies in its differences from the PC version. The developer’s goal is to create the best possible experience on mobile devices, not just port the PC version over. This means that the gameplay and experience will rely heavily on the strengths and weaknesses of mobile devices.

The core experience will resemble the PC version of the game, but some things will have to be changed to accommodate the new platform. This means that agents, maps, and weapons will mainly stay the same, with some slight changes if need be.

Match Duration

It can take from 30 to 45 minutes to finish a match in the PC version of Valorant. Clearly, this will not work in mobile format, and matches will have to be shorter. Although there is no information on how this will be done, we can expect a significantly shorter match duration, better suited for mobile gaming.

Will There be Cross-Platform Play and Cross-Progression?

Valorant Mobile will not have cross-platform play on its release, and it is highly unlikely that this feature will be added at a later time. The mobile version is being developed as a separate game, and including a cross-platform option would come with its own batch of balancing problems. Moreover, it’s also very unlikely that cross-progression will be present, so players will not be able to use the same account for both the PC and Mobile versions.
