These will come in handy once the full game drops this week, so you’ll want to pocket as many as you can ahead of launch. So, how do you get Divine Shards in Unicorn Overlord? How to Obtain Divine Shards in Unicorn Overlord
There are a few ways to pocket Divine Shards in Unicorn Overlord, including the following methods:
- Mining
- Completing side quests
- Refusing and killing off potential recruits
Of these options, mining is the fastest method. That is, if you’re lucky. There’s no guarantee you’ll pick up Divine Shards on your expedition, so this method isn’t foolproof and may prove to be pretty time-consuming. This activity will also cost you 200 Gold each time you want to participate. Because of this, it can be rather expensive to rely solely on mining to get more shards.
That aside, you can reliably obtain more shards by completing side quests. The only downside here is the fact that not all quests promise shards as a reward. This means you’ll need to finish off plenty of quests on your playthrough to keep your supply going.
Finally, that leaves offing potential recruits. While you can score Divine Shards by refusing these characters, you should do so with great caution. This is because killing a recruit eliminates the ability to add them to your party down the line. I suggest weighing your options carefully before you make a decision you might regret later on.

How Many Divine Shards Are There in Unicorn Overlord Demo?
Throughout the demo for Unicorn Overlord, you can pick up a grand total of 93 Divine Shards on your travels. However, mining allows you to collect as many as you’re able. With just seven hours to top off your supply, though, completing this task can be a doozy. The good news is any shards you do manage to collect will carry over to the full game upon its release this Friday. Until then, it’s a good idea to grab as many as you can, though not entirely necessary.
