One Simple Addition Would Make Everyone’s Farming Experience in The First Descendant Way Better

The majority of The First Descendant gameplay is farming. And you have so many ways to do so. You can gather materials from Resources and Munitions boxes found all over Ingris. There are certain materials that you get only by defeating Elite enemies and by opening Encrypted Vaults. And, of course, the most valuable ones, ie Blueprints and Codes, are obtained by completing quests and opening Amorphous Materials. Quite a lot of layers here, don’t you think?

Players Want to See the Number of Owned Items in Amorphous Materials

You can easily see the amount of materials you gathered, either in the inventory or when doing research at Anais’. However, when you’re checking what Amorphous Materials you have and what items they have a chance to drop, you can’t easily see which of those items you already have and how many. To see that, you have to switch between several Inventory tabs. It’s not that much of a problem, but it gets tiresome very fast.

One player, named ultimatepro on Reddit, asked for the number of owned items to be shown in the Amorphous Materials Patterns, and we wholeheartedly agree. More players agree, with some adding: “I would also love to see how many of the amorphous materials I have without having to click on the outpost, because then when you go back you have to go all the way back in. Or just make it so it takes me back one menu.” like Shoddy_Audience261.

Furthermore, adding this information when you’re opening Amorphous Materials (either after defeating a Colossus or via Fusion Reactors) would be of great help.

Will We See This Change?

While there is absolutely no word on this, Nexon has been adding more and more QoL improvements with each update. This change would be a minor one on their part, and basically everyone would appreciate it. We all spent way too much time switching through different tabs (and getting annoyed in the process), so this little change would make our TFD lives so much easier. The devs had a minor holiday this week and they will resume their regular hotfix schedule next week.
