If you are wondering if Recon Senses was removed from The Finals, you are in the right place. In these modern times, FPS games need to constantly evolve and innovate. Luckily Embark Studios is fully supporting The Finals and is trying to create the best gaming experience on the market.
Quickly addressing the Aim Assistance problem was a great way of showing the developer’s devotion to the game. Moreover, it proved that they care about the opinion of the community, which is a rarity nowadays. Nevertheless, The Finals community has raised concerns about the power of Recon Senses in the past month. Let’s take a look if the Recon Senses was removed from The Finals and why.
Are Recon Senses removed from The Finals?
Yes, with the release of The Finals Season 2, Reacon Senses was removed from the game. Embark Studios determined that this specialization was detrimental to the game, and with the new Season, it was replaced with the Dematerializer specialization. Although Recon Senses is completely removed from the game, there is a possibility that it will return at some point. However, it will likely go through some major changes first.
Unlike other specializations and gadget abilities, the duration of Recon Senses lasted a bit longer than them. Once activated, players were able to see enemies through the walls. As you can imagine, this quite often gave a great advantage over one opponent. With good communication and three Medium Builds running Recon Senses you could, in theory, make this specialization last almost the entire match and dominate your opponents.

What is the Dematerializer specialization in The Finals?
The Dematerializer is a new specialization for the Medium Build that replaced Recon Senses. Once activated this specialization creates a hole in the target surface. The surface you target is not destroyed, instead, the digital imprint will stay there as a hole. Upon activating the Dematerializer again, the hole closes.
Using the Dematerializer is a great way to open new paths around the map. It can be used to attack enemies without the need to bring the walls down. Moreover, it can be used to steal the objectives that are a floor above you. Over time, we’re sure that the players will find even more creative uses for the new specialization.
